Hmm, Gibbo - with the extra powah that's running through this and the potential that you're going to put through it are brake upgrades not a potentially useful buy?

btw...POWAH!

They look spot on. As long as they are not stupidly expensive.

Found a set for $81, grabbed them, came to $130 with delivery and taxes, so about £125.00, vastly cheaper than new brakes, already contacted BCS about getting them done in same colour. :)

Car has insanely powerful brakes stock that are good enough to stop it from 200mph, so there is not much point and I have upgrades to 2-piece disc all round to shave another 15-20kg unsprung mass and as they are directional they improve braking power, but its simply not needed as the stock brakes, pads and fluid are extremely capable, have no problems at Silverstone pushing the car very hard and never had any fade so the stock setup is very capable. Obviously uprated pads and fluid would be a big step up should I ever want more brake ability.

Pretend "I've got multi piston brake" covers are properly gash IMO and bring the car down a level. It's a similar level to sticking M badges on your 114i isn't it?

Picked this up for a bit of weekend and track fun.

Collected my new Insignia Grand Sport this morning. The colour is Darkmoon Blue, which looks great in the bright sunshine we are experiencing at the moment. Feels like a good step forward from the old car. You can definitely feel the longer wheelbase and wider track on the road.

Until it's been 48hrs since the last wash and it just looks dirty as anything :D

Welcome to my world!

Just paint the calipers. The textured finish is due to the calipers being cast. No shame in that if people even look that close.

Just you want colour in the wheels to match so it looks like a Porsche Hybrid.

All four wheels powdercoated, rear wheels banded by 1.5" each

This has revealed to me (confirmed, rather) that the back end of the car is a little bit wonky. Need to replace the centring pins in the leaf packs, one's snapped. It's only about half an inch but now the wheels fill the arches so well it's scrubbing ever so slightly on the left.

Good news is it's scrubbing on a huge lump of filler, so that problem will probably work itself out... I'm going to take a rasp to it anyway.
