Show Us Your Motors!

I love how the Evora is your 'practical' car for the baby. You spouse must be into cars as well :p
Sorry for your loss.

She's swapping her Fiesta ST for, actually I have no clue. We've gone from compact SUVs to estates to larger hatchbacks, turns out pregnant women don't know what they want.

I've got an old Fiesta Zetec-S for work too.

I don't believe you!

Honestly, the bigger the better. An estate is useful as you can throw everything in the back, but I'm now receiving complaints that my A6 is too low and getting the kids (8m, 2.5y) in is a pain

I thought we'd settled on the Mazda CX-5 as it was the first SUV we'd driven that I didn't completely hate, but then she decided they were all too big.

Drove an hour home from the Mazda dealership, she went online and decided she wants to look at a Mazda 3. We were LITERALLY stood next to one.

l would love to live in the states, the car scene out there blows me away

Careful what you wish for. I for one thinks the scene here is one of the best in the world. Goodwood events, Silverstone Classic etc unique to this country. Plus you have all the Jap events. Also hosts both F1 and Rally every year. Plenty of tracks to choose from plus thousands of club meets. Also our location means getting to big European events is a piece of cake.

Yeah i think its perhaps just the cars...

I need to get on a few groups i think as cant see where these meets are organised (like a forum) pistonheads maybe?

Oh yeh gotta love the Dub scene were £500 Polo’s and 15yr old diesel Golf’s slammed on casters/20 inch Bentley alloys or modded with the Rat look are considered super cool. Or how about joining the North West Corsa Crew where you can share your love of Barry boy Corsa’s With twin exhausts. Or some of the “performance diesel” groups where they all think there chipped 140bhp hatchback is some kind of hot hatch rocket. If your talking about small clubs or weekend car park Facebook/forum meets then for the most part the UK scene is embarrassing compared to that of the US. :p
Although I do agree about there being good events and we are in a good location for European things aswell

You think it is not the same in the US with their civic ricer crew? For the GT4OC there was a Prescott hill climb setup to celebrate 20 years of the ST205 GT-Four. Even Toyota came with their press LFA giving people rides up the hill so not all car clubs are the same. Likewise you have the Goodwood events where over 150000 attend over a weekend with a totally unique experience to this country alone. We have so many race tracks in the country as well which put on masses of events while also hosting world wide sporting events.

I think some of the YouTube lads have made an impact in the UK car scene. With what they do and what content they feature it's not to everyone's taste but some people do appreciate it.

I think the best car scene is in Japan because whatever they do to their cars they do not give a damn.

YouTube lads buy amazing cars but seem to know nothing about them other then it's fast m8.

Was over at Haynes Motor Museum today for the breakfast club - go most months.

Probably 100-150 cars there this month - quiet since it is January. Everything from old US style hotrods, 3 x McLaren MP4-12Cs, a few Lotus', Ford ST/RS, Honda Type-Rs (including a nice Accord), Ferrari FF, classics, and so on.

my main issue is that all the car clubs are on stupid faceballs rather than a forum, so all the info is not be ale to be found or searched for. Also you have to go on faceballs and faceballs is Satan.

The paint in general is shocking. Looks like it's been applied with a spray can.

Better than the A45 AMG that I saw the other day that had been quite literally rollered with emulsion (Stolen recovered, I guess they thought a GTA style colour change and they'd get away with it)

Facebook has become the Gumtree of the car scene tbh.
