Show Us Your Motors!

I like the look of Astons, but I don't particularly like the look of the V8 Vantage. I think it looks a bit plain and dumpy.

It's probably one of the most beautiful looking cars in several decades!

Each to their own I guess! I think the DB9 is a stunner but I've never been totally sold on the Vantage. Lovely from the front, and the side, but its the back I'm not too keen on. I have no idea what it is about it though.

I think the fact so many marques have copied the style. Kia and Ford grills being very similar, Jag copying rear end styling has some what watered it down but when the DB9 first came it was very good looking.

Well you're wrong :D

@Marvin Shame to see it go. :(

What is it with people moving from V8 E39's to little Lotus'? :p

If you get one, at least make it a 111R or Exige for maximum BWAAAAAH ;)

It's a well trodden path.

After having something as frankly brilliant as the E39 you need something totally different to justify the change.

I regularly drive Cindy's new (to her) M135i and wonder what it does that my E39 couldn't to 9/10ths at 25% of the cost

It returns, needs a real good washing (dust & compound over it) then along with some high gloss wax and maybe a paint enhancement though being fresh its pretty swirl free but a polishing will do no harm, though it is orange peel free anyway. Hoping for a dry weekend so I can at least give it a good washing, extremely happy with results. :)

Looks silly without a plate (especially as the grille is black), its a 3 series not an Aventador!

Why not remove the rear too?

I think it looks nice without a front plate, though the main issue previously was the plinth ruining the lines of the car. Like I say if I put something on the front, it shall be a small sticker type plate so the lines of the car are maintained.

All cars have recesses made for rear plates as its a legal requirement worldwide, so why you even mention that is a bit stupid really as you know the answer.

A plinth is hardly the end of the world loli thought you removed it as it's the in thing to do, along the same lines of metal pressed plates etc

I hate metal pressed plates and add on plinths are aweful, they are after thoughts by manufacturers to comply with laws in different regions.

The new plates, rear is same as now, but just new and will be stuck on, not screwed on, no screws.
The front shall be just a small sticker as a big block style front plate looks aweful on any car. The manufacturer never designed the car to have them, they just have to fit them in some regions.

I have just realised, the bodyshop never re-fitted the rear M badge, guess I'll have to go to BMW and pay another £50 for one.

Pano roof is massive and essential with the coal bunker interior. Illuminated tread plates are nice though.
