Show Us Your Motors!

Apparently this year/late last year they updated the system and it's better?
Certainly early last year I tried an S class system and it was crap to use even compared to old gen audi MMI. Once the nav etc is set up though I can't see it being a massive issue, or use android auto/apple craplay

I'm not sure how long the latest Command system has been around... but the one in the 2016 C63 I had was pretty good and it's the same system that's in the DB11.

It's not quite got the usability of the BMW iDrive... but it's not far behind... I certainly didn't mind using it on a daily basis.

Oh... and the over-politeness of the Merc Sat Nav lady is hilarious :)

Better than 595RSR's? If you've used those ever?
On circuit and a warm summers day, of course. They're a class above, true semi-slick rather than a ultra high performance road tyre. RSR come with less tread than competitors such as AD08R, I also found that two sets never felt the same. AD08R are far more consistent.

Haha, see, I wonder if ad08rs would kill a bit of fun?! I want wider rubber as I'm looking for "track" stance but not sure which tyres I'll end up with.
In the dry (and above a few ºc positive temperature) it will kill almost all "fun". Mine simply doesn't slide in the dry when the floor isn't frozen.

In the wet on the other hand...

Well, they were only on the front with ditch-finders on the back so... ;)

yeah that's my worry, I want the car to be balanced. It is pretty much spot on on the falken 914s that I have on it now so once those are worn I might just go for the same tyre just with extra meat.

Brave colour choice for the kids. I could never get such light leather as I just CBA cleaning it.

The interior looks lovely, but I have to say that the quality on some of the plastics is quite poor. Particularly the bottom lip of the wood trim. Also, wheels to small :p

Looks lush though - enjoy the free brolly! :D

Regarding the kids and light leather, yes I've bought these from Amazon to protect the rear seats and the backs of the front seats. Hopefully they do the job. The kick mats also have various storage pockets and a transparent pocket for tablets that transmits finger inputs.

The E Class COMAND online was updated quite significantly for MY18 and it's very noticeably faster than the 807 version.

It also plays FLAC files flawlessly (at least via USB), which was a nice surprise as I was preparing to have to do a load of MP3 conversions.

I saw all the reviews saying that the infotainment wasn't great compared to BMW, but so far I'm really pleased with the flexibility and the fact that you can do everything from touch pads on the wheel. The voice control is really good too.

Oh and I have to repeat that drive pilot is saving my sanity in the morning commute.

Seat protectors don't do jack ****. My seats have protectors on them and they're completely knackered. I've put towels under it and all that and it's not helping any.

you know that really nice looking interior you got then go ruin it was seat covers. like people who get a macbook air because its thin then put a case on it which makes it 5x thicker :p

He sits in the front... Where the interior stays as formerly pictured... Where he cant see the covers/kick mat when they're in use... Protecting the rear seats ensures they stay in that condition for re-sale. What a bunch of stupid comments.

All it does is keep it lovely for the next owner though as you never get to see the nice seats below.

You just shake out the covers rather than picking crumbs out between pleats... oh and helps stop car seats denting the leather which you then see when kids grow out of the seats.

Are the kids going to appreciate the fine nappa leather diamond quilted with 5453 individual stitches seats with heating cooling and massage function with extendable leg bases and class leading 30 degree back inclination adjustment?

No

I'd invest in some rubber floor mats back there too. Mine carpet mats (is that what you call them?) are in a pretty bad way from all the crap my son drops down there.

It really doesn't...
