Need to go with bigger wheels next time. Probably 24" or 26". Way too much rubber on those. Must feel very mushy

Yes bigger wheels and less tyre is definetly on the cards. And slamming it on air ride.

First time it's been detailed since I've had it, which isn't great. Living on a development that is still being finished means it gets caked in dust all the time, so motivation to keep it clean is pretty much zero. But building work is finally done so figured I'd give it some TLC

Not that the paint was that bad because of its age, but it's back to feeling like glass again now. Claying/polishing/waxing in that heat was brutal though

It's quite distinctive, my last 530d didn't do it but it was the older version of the engine. BMW said it was normal...

It is indeed. I challenged it too as it almost sounds like the turbo is bypassing but seemingly normal and acceleration certainly wasn't affected.

Pretty sure I could hear the turbo's on my 64 plate 530d with the window down. I quite liked it.

Yeah I really like it now I know it's normal, at first it was driving me mad as I was certain my turbo must be about to blow up
