It drives superb. Very smooth and quiet with enough power. I mean, its soft and comfy so its gonna fall to bits on a fast corner, but I just love it. Sunroof bonus too.

Took a while to get it ready, had a few other projects ongoing but this thing is sweet

Just looking at that cabin makes me want to go on a road trip.

Quick one of the Mitz, just had the wheels done in a bronze to finish off the new brakes and calipers.

From my home office window, such a quality zoom from my phone I think....not. Polo is off shortly to be replaced by.....well let's see :)

I was about to comment on the lovely Evo, but then I scrolled down a bit more and saw the Polo. I am in love <3

@Axeboy, interesting car. Looks similar to a Stagea. Any relation?

Is the gap next to the rad blocked off? I had a few issues when I fitted an FMIC to my Rover and left a big gap where the old IC used to be. The air would take the easiest path and not necessarily go through the radiator. Caused the temperature gauge to creep up under load on hot days.

Sorted by blocking off the gaps around the IC and radiator.

Spent a couple of hours cleaning up my E39 530i this afternoon, in the glorious sun.

This car is now 17 years old but the interior really has held up well (85k miles). The outside is getting particularly rusty and is peppered with stone chips, some minor, others more significant. Really can't see much point in throwing big money at restoring her to concours or anywhere near it, but I'd like to keep it tidy.

£1,700 well spent IMHO, it'll be a year of trouble free motoring this Sept (with any luck).
