The leather looks like it wants conditioning, and the gear lever and handbrake boots look rather past-it, but it otherwise looks quite presentable inside and outside. Of course, photos can hide a multitude of sins but it doesn't look shed-like from here.

It’s quite easy to jump on the “lol acme” bandwagon, but outside of his seemingly relentless lust to buy a new “shed” (Pistonheads definition rather than out and out ruined nail) every few months, there have only been a handful of out and out catastrophic events (discounting the crash of the Polo, which lots of young drivers do similar). The Celica of utter fail, and one of the MX5s that was a complete modified rustpit of crud.

Sure the “nippa” made no sense at all, and the turnaround times of some of the cars (like the S60) are just money burning odd, but the rest of the cars have just been a combination of “not for everyone” (like the Celsior) or just a bit dull, but certainly not all tragic.

The Volvo looks quite good for its age IMO. My 850 was similar in interior wear, and that was around 10 years ago! The colour isn’t that bad either, it’s just the wheels getting people’s opinions up.

You're totally right, looks like a family of mice lived in the seats and then fought off an invasion of raccoons - who were ultimately victorious and used the centre console as their parade group. Sadly their victory didn't last long as a pack of wild dogs pounced whilst the raccoons were tripping out from the chemicals in the shifter boot, who then used the centre console and glovebox to hone their claws and teeth.

What are you on about, 'ragged' interior? Some small cracks in the leather seats equates to ragged nowadays does it? I don't understand why this forum seems to just go completely OTT in berating everything Acme does, regardless whether or not there is any truth to what they're saying. It's all a bit childish.
What are you talking about, it has nothing to do with Acme and everything to do with it just looking like an ancient worn out interior which is clearly absolutely nothing like mint as described. The guy brings it on himself every time :p

To be fair, from the pics, its looks pretty good for a car of its age, I've seen worse leather on younger Audi's. Plus Acme never said it was mint, Fox sarcastically said it was another mint example, Acme just said it was pretty close in defensive mode because frankly he's a bit of a scapegoat on here and catches a lot of flack, me I think he's got cajones to share his motoring odyssey with the rest of us, so good on him and hopefully he's enjoying himself.

Looking at some old youtube video reviews of the V70R the interiors don't look much better when they were new! Slightly less cracked on the leather but overall its a 90's Volvo, they were known for being very comfortable, not very stylish. If you wanted that you got a Saab :D

Where on earth are you seeing a worn out interior?

All fair, wish all the best to him, merely pointing out that that car is definitely not mint :) :p

In the photos he posted...take a look at the seats, gators and steering wheel!

Seats have slight creasing, not even cracking - given most cars reach that level of creasing within months that's hardly a good example.
Gaiters, believe it or not, are pretty much like that from factory, weird colour and all. Steering wheel really doesn't look bad to me, some wear but again far from trashed.

Err...wut?! Looks at the right hand leg bolster of the passenger seat for a start. Same for the right hand upper bolster of the driver's seat. The alcantara(?) looks utterly destroyed on the driver's seat too.

There are many things to criticise on what will undoubtedly be another ridiculous buy, but there's really nothing wrong with the interior on that car for the age.

Those ******* wheels though.....
