Show Us Your Motors!

What happened?
Even the base spec S model comes with better looking wheels.

They are the 18” wheels. The recent changes to 21MY thankfully has changed them to a much nicer design of 19” for the S spec so don’t use the configurator to compare to this NHS fleet order.

Who wants children to open the doors? :p

Also, what other cars to children actually have an issue opening the doors on?

Jeez. You have to recognise a flush handle works when pulled horizontally, rolling around the door surface they will need pulling upwards. My 7 year lad pulled down enough on my Evoque opening them.

Seat Leon. Mk8 Honda Civic.

That's ok, you can rest easy in the knowledge that it's 'for the kids'.

Cheap 3 years of motoring so I can forgive quite a lot. Especially given its pretty fun to drive and I do have an ever increasing family to drag around.

I was set to buy a 6GT before I went down the lease route. I guess aesthetics isn't high on my list :(

If theyre too short to open the door shouldn't you be opening the door for them, then affixing them in their child booster seat? :p

Need to incentivise those to go for the higher spec/bigger wheels. It’s circa 10% range hit between 18 and 22.

Its a shame they reused the design as they look very dated for what is supposed to be a modern EV. I think I've seen them on the XF?

I think even a more modern design in the same size would be liveable with.

My speciality. :p

You sometimes post as though you feel like you'll get in trouble if you don't defend JLR's every whim though. :D

mine are the puns. ;)

I know the team very well and stuff like that has pages of standards and requirements that takes a lot of compromise. There is no such thank as perfect car design, no defending just stating facts when I read wide boy remarks. ;) I mean “whim” what does that even mean in the context of something that took years to design?

I do observe your point, but pot kettle black if you look back at the battery relocation exercise... :p

I thought you were ready to build a moat and tar pits for that defence.
