@chroniclard ah the Golf has touch buttons on the wheel! At least Skoda had kept physical buttons and kept some short cuts below the screen. I probably prefer the wheel in the VRS and infotainment screen in mine, it's seems bigger and less plasticity with that big gloss black surround like in the Golf? I'll happily take your drive train though :D:D

@Rilot I am very fussy with heating in my car, I can never seem to get a comfortable temperature, I mess with it too much I probably will leave it be though as I cannot mess with dials.

Love it. It'll be such a rare car when people learn to appreciate it and see past the Honda badge.

It probably will be very similar :) same here the infotainment system is taking a little getting used to. Having the stop/start hidden in the drop down notification bar is annoying and driving mode you need to select the drive mode on the screen rather than toggle through the button on like on the MK3. Also the hassle of changing the speed of the heating fan is again done on the touch screen :(

Other than that it's been spot on. The build date was the 28th August 2021 so I assume it's got a new firmware as so far I have not had any problems touch wood! Everything seems to work ok.

Does the golf have shortcut physical buttons below the volume slider?

The 19" alloys fill the arch gap well imo, the older MK3 definitely sat higher.

I kind of wish i hadn't read your posts as i had talked myself out of switching on the basis there wasn't much of an upgrade (got a mk3 facelift as well). The infotainment and aircon controls etc. is the only thing putting me off as I'm one of those forever altering temp, as is the other half. Don't suppose the driving dynamics have improved at all? I know you don't buy these for that you buy them for epic practicality but still...... actually don't answer else i might find myself back in the skoda dealership.

That looks a lovely spec!

Thanks!

I thought you hated SUV's? Can you tow anything with it? :p.

Do I? Yes 2.7 tons and has a detachable tow bar. I’m not likely to tow anything with it.

That Aston looks really cool tbh. How come you replaced the c63?

Fancied an Aston but didn’t want to replace the NSX. The DBX does everything the C63 does and better. Other than save money of course.

A shame to see one less C63 wagon on the forum, but looks very nice - congrats.

Thanks

I thought that was a Mondeo SUV for a sec.

Of course you did.

I thought it was a Kuga on the first pic!

I thought it was a fancy F Pace!

Lovely Aston!

Thanks

Nice Aston, but why Poverty Spec White :p. Ford haven't done the Aston brand any favours.

I'm only jelly.

The paint is called "White Stone" its a Q option paint. Multi layered and very glittery in direct sun, "Lunar White" is Aston's solid "poverty" white option.
