Show Us Your Motors!

@geekman - £1k for all that?! Even if it didn’t run it’d be worth far more than that in parts surely?? Sounds like a bargain. You keeping the ride height? :D

£1k RR can easily be money pits. My mate bought a £5k one and one year later without a month going by without something been spent on it and £7,000 out of pocket, he sold it onto some other sucker to keep on the road.

1k of epic

I'd still rather your GTR but I'm not complaining :D

Yes, they're actually worth more here than in the UK, so as it is now I'd probably get 2.5-3k for it, or 10-12k if it was in really nice condition. Definitely not keeping the ride height though, I actually can't get it to my house as it's too low so I've abandoned it at a family member's place for the moment.

This isn't my first RR, I've had 2 in the past and several Jag XJs of the same era so I know what is required to keep these running. The 4.2 supercharged version of the L320 and L322 is actually pretty reliable compared to most of the other models so I'm not that concerned, and parts are pretty cheap nowadays. I also only pay the equivalent of around £15/hr for mechanic labor, so even if it's a lot worse than I think it is I won't be spending anything like 7k on repairs.

1k wowsers that's the bargain of the century.
Looks in good nick too

Interior is in good nick, exterior is not that great. It has lacquer peel and dull patches on the bonnet, one of the rear lights is cracked, and it has various scratches here and there. Once it's fixed mechanically I'll just change the rear light and give it a polish, it'll probably be mainly used for off roading around my land and pulling trailers so it doesn't need to be perfect.

After a few months off the road rebuilding and refreshing the suspension, I finally got it corner weighted and aligned. Weighs in at 513kg with half a tank of fuel

Time to get it out on track!

Would be interested to hear your opinions on this, as I've got one on order. Do you have it as a hire car or something?

Yeah it was, which also meant it’s the fastest car in the world, well except it’s not… it doesn’t feel 250bhp fast or whatever it is.

They should come with PS4’s but this has Primacy HP’s on it, even though it only had 1000km on it when I picked it up. It felt very unstable at high cornering speeds, the back end felt twitchy all the time. I suspect decent tyres would remove most of the twitchiness. It sounds good at high RPM, picks up quite well.

Most importantly it goes sideways well and has an LSD, I was able to keep the back end out nice and easily, it didn’t feel like it wanted to kill you like the Supra does when you take it sideways.

This was the Auto, flappy paddle jobby. Just don’t. It’s terrible. Manual only. I’m not sure what trim spec it was but it had adaptive cruise etc. but the basic bucket seats weren’t that comfy, the sound system was pretty rubbish.

Would I buy one? Definitely not. I only got this because they didn’t have a GR Yaris available at the time.

I think it's about 220-30bhp now...I have a manual on order, which is apparently noticebly better than the auto anyway (shorter gearing I think). I know what you mean about the tyres; I felt the same about the Primacies on the current car. Luckily, in the UK, we are only getting the premium trim option which has 18" wheels with PS4s, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Cheers :)

Gave mine a clean last night, not great pictures! Need to get out and take some nice scenic ones :D

Still enjoying the car, and the colour! Do wonder what I'll go for after this but hope to keep it for a while yet!

That yellow Megane is lovely. Great when the sun comes out and those sort of colours are really rewarding.
Making the most of mine as my next one is white.

Washed and sprayed over with Autobrite Magiseal. Really easy to use and dries lovely after with a towel. The previous SPRINTS stuff never really worked but Magiseal I’m impressed so far and should last about two months.

Nice pics! Story of my life cleaning her all the time it gets so dirty... The rear ducts throw all the brake dust & road grit over the rear bumper region! Its impossible to keep clean for long I am cleaning mine all the time now! After this run earlier today to the seaside the car was almost immaculate this morning (2 hour early morning clean!). Then I get home all the rear needs cleaning again due to all the brake dust & road muck sucked up from the rear aero diffuser (this runs under about 30-35% of the car I think! It creates massive downforce but this is the side effect all the muck which gets sucked up & sticks to the paintwork!).

Now have about 5 noticeable (to me) stonechips on the bonnet front lower lip region they seem to deflect the constant bombardment the most! Going to repair those this upcoming weekend to disguise them a little (I got some pre-mixed paint as Renault no longer sell the touch ups kit for this colour as too complex to blend properly.....)
