Show Us Your Motors!

I almost bought one to replace my Civic instead of the Mondeo but with my meagre budget the Mondeo was newer with a better spec. Watch out for rust on the rear arches, almost all I saw had this but I was looking at estates which may be the reason.

What's the deal with the JSON linter link? I thought I'd been hacked as I use these linters often.

Some pictures a photographer grabbed of the 600 LT last weekend:

Think I am six months into ownership now and so far it has been superb, such an incredible car to drive, but there has been a lot of typical Mclaren niggles:
- Heatshield / undertray rattles come and go (fix them myself now)
- Both door hinges have cracked, been replaced under warranty once parts arrive, all 600 LT are effected and all have or will fail, they are now replaced with Mclaren GT hinges which have no reported failures.
- Corrosion has appeared on passenger door, Mclaren will inspect and repair or fit a new door and paint the car, under warranty, corrosion is a big problem for all Mclaren models, sports series have 5yr warranty and super series 10yr.

Still issues aside it has not impacted my ownership experience, Mclaren service has been absolutely amazing by Manchester, it almost makes claiming for warranty a pleasurable experience with how well they deal with it. Right now the 600 LT is the go to car over the Ferrari for me, I enjoy driving it so much as it just feels like a bigger Lotus but vastly more special, its weakness is the insane speed, very easy to see triple figures without even trying.

Got a set of new wheels for the car and a set of AR1's to go on for some track days in the Summer, cannot wait as this car is the fastest car I've owned so be great to be able to properly unleash its potential on track, also gone up a size on the front to dial out understeer which on track they suffer from on factory 225 width tyre, so gone with a 235 which remains within the ECU tolerances for not throwing any error lights or odd traction control weirdness happening. Stuck with factory 285 rear size just to keep the car playful, the serious lap timers also fit a 305 to the rear.

Fantastic meet held by the ladies and gents at Lilian & Stanley Finance, with a superb turn out for time of year, lots of Ferraris, Porsches, Aston's and a couple of Mclarens and Lamborghini's. :)
