Show Us Your Motors!

Thanks for all this info, really helpful and tbh I have found I agree. I think that budget mentioned is a bit of a stretch and £7k seems a better ballpark.

I mean I'd truly love/prefer an S2000 but that would mean looking into a loan and tbh I'm looking at getting out of the PCP cycle as it is on my current car to reduce the monthlys.

So an MX5 felt like maybe better bang for buck in that regard
I paid £5495 for mine, 101k miles, 2 previous owners and mostly Mazda service history with a couple of local garage services. Prices will go up as the weather gets better, I think I got a good deal. I wasn't overly fussed with the mileage, mechanically they are sound and suspension etc perishes with age as much as it does mileage.

I had some budget creep as I started looking at NC1s but found them all fairly rotten and the facelift carried a big list of improvements as listed above.

That looks in great shape!

Enjoying it?

Selling on the old Mini in a few weeks. Bought it for my brother to enjoy, he loves the old noise (hes blind) but it needs a garage. Already noticed some body deterioration in a year with a cover. Anyways, its going to Mathewsons in a week or so

Ive come to the conclusion that while I love old cars, I no longer love caring for them

In the meantime I bought an imported Honda Monkey Bike, arrives Monday. This way it can go in a shed and it sounds great for my brother. Also wont need constant care and costs, win

Have to say I do absolutely love those Alfa's, I seen one in person the other day and IMO they look miles better than anything else in the segment. I can't afford a Quad but may take a look at a Gulia for a next car.
