Show Us Your Motors!

Is it the Range Rover full fat? I ask as they are becoming uninsurable as so many of them are robbed. Few folk on M3 cutters talking about it hence I asked.
Nope its a Velar P400e HSE just a nickaball by all accounts.

Been on a few dedicated forums it seems the case, a lot are moaning about stupid insurance hikes and many have said they my been looking to swap for Porsche or BMW.

Wifes insurance was £300.00 on top of what she paid for a Peugot 3008 4 yeras old so considering the differance in price seems quiet reasonable. The access form £0 to £700 was a pee take.

Its said in certain areas ie London its almost impossible to get insured from the look of things.

Its same with the Transit Custom on a owners site of 53,000 and most have been quoted £1000+ on last years insurance (mine was quoted for £800 more), most probably because a least one a day is breoken into on their :(

:(

Anything with Pivi is a huge step forwards with the relay thefts as the electrical system is all new and they use the UWB remotes.

Talking of the red club from earlier posts, had a red one this weekend.

Does that include the 2023 Range Rover?

Sadly if it does, it's already been stolen and the way to steal it publicised in dark circles :(

Is that where they cut a hole in the boot lid?
Thats the older L494 L405 system hacking direct into CANBUS rather than the relay type attacks.

Should do yes but ive seen something already with an update to limit whats happening there. Usual story in terms of the way the thiefs have noth the motivation and resources to work hard at cracking stuff :(

@rG-tom - I presume you’re using magnets for the front plate? Any particular ones? I’ll eventually get a front end respray on my 911 and something like that would work quite well in the bumper recess.

Absolutely love the colour!

HI there

Some more pictures from our IOM of trip:

Car performed flawlessly the entire trip, probably covered around 400-500 miles on the Island, yes I think I probably drove every A/B road on the Island and my favourite ones several times, particular the unlimited roads were great fun, even on the very wet days which highlights just how damn capable the car is in the wet, in fact a few Porsche and Corvette owners commented on just how planted it looked in the wet conditions whilst they still had it in view, as even in such conditions the car was still seeing around 130mph on some roads, they thought I was bonkers whereas for me in the car I was taking it very easy and not taking any risk, but it was great fun. On the wet track day by the end of our 15 minute session I pretty much passing every car for a second time, totally blown away by how impressive this machine is and yet remains fun to drive even when just doing a sedate 60mph.

Manage to get on and off boat no issues and no scrapes though getting off at Liverpool was somewhat bum clenching as the boat was really moving up and down due to rough seas but manage to time it right and get of scrape free, I did over inflate the tyres to 45psi for getting on/off the boat to try and give myself some additional clearance for what little if any difference it makes. Car has just ticked over 16,000 miles and it is now a years ownership and 5000 miles covered without issue, truly enjoyable miles. Already planning our next trip which shall be a drive through Europe as it makes sense having such an immense drivers car that has the bonus that when cruising at 60-80mph is do 35+ miles to the gallon fuel wise. :)
