Out of interest, why stick on with Velcro rather than normal sticky pads ?

Cleaning! Nothing worse than rinsing and grime from behind some crevice seeping out.

this, and also if/when i get a new car i don't need to mess around trying to get the sticky pads off to move my private plate over, just use some more velcro for the car side :)

Tom, is there some stand off with the dual lock? I need to clear raised mounting for my plates.

yes, it does stick out~3-4mm maybe, they're quite thick,

Is there certain times of the year when you can drive like a **** on the Isle of Man or can you go at any time and drive? Definitely something I would like to do and a lot safer bet than when I tried V-Max in my car on the Autobahn a million miles from English speaking people.

Drive as fast as you want all year round I believe on NSL roads, the police basically on an NSL route will pull you if they feel your driving in a dangerous manner, of course I'd not want to visit in Winter and try driving at big speeds on cold wet roads as they will be just as slippy as any other cold wet road.

I thoroughly enjoyed it as did others who I spoke too, even the local track at Jurby is worth a visit, highly recommend and plenty of good food on the island too. :)

It's not a Mclaren but I got a new sensible car for commuting. I got made redundant before the first commute, which is nice.

Sorry to see that mate happened to me last year not only the side panel but around the rear on my brand new RS!...managed to buff it all out though. Try using a polisher machine plus some polishing compound maybe even wet sand with 2000-3000 grit paper you might just be bale to buff some of it out. If deep you can by hand put some paint in it then let it dry & buff & polish can work wonders!
