What Model S do you have?

It's not the performance varient just all wheel drive as the main consideration for purchasing had been

1) low cost, it's electric It's rubbish as I love the Sound of a decent petrol engine so was only trying it out originally to scratch the itch. It has free supercharging which is a gimmick but been Handy. Also the car was dirt cheap, cost only around 40k (though it was around 5 years old when I purchased it) and whilst I am sure it has suffered depreciation has a long warranty, has cost zero tax, low insurance and zero running costs So far. Not bad.

2) most importantly range, apparently the non performance Versionsnummer got longer range so that made sense. Still pulls well enough and even though I think it's very limited as an all round package I have to give credit to it being great in the snow and makes going skiing etc easy as you can put one seat down and still go with friends etc.

As said before when I'm back in Switzerland and have more time in the new year im going to start a thread up of what I has, what I currently have and also to make sure I make good choices as to what's next on the list. :)

My FIL has the 90D so non performance also, if I remember correctly. Also with free super charging, he basically never charges at home and is very much net positive due to the insane costs he had before.

We took out a Model 3 Performance and I wasn't too impressed as found it quite slow, if that's the right word.

I've got a new E350 Coupe, haven't posted a pic yet as I've not long bought it and it's still got a tacky AMG back on the back I need to remove :D

Unless the Model 3 was in “chill” mode, or wasn’t a Model 3 Performance, it wasn’t slow.

My Model 3 Performance makes my 440i seem dog slow at any speed lower than around 80-90.

It wasn't, and like I said, 'if thats the right word'. My RS6 which isn't exactly standard is completely different and in that regard make the M3P seem slow. I'm looking at taking a P100DL out in the next couple of weeks.

The RS6 has ruined cars for me, it makes everything feel lethargic, not the M3P, and yes, if you just want to plant your foot with no lag, it wins, but anything other than that it felt WAY slower.

Funny enough my brother was talking on the way back from the football today - where he is working currently they have Passat R-Line, RS6 and an AMG GT (not sure which/what) as pool cars (amongst other stuff) and going from them back to his own car makes it feel very boring (he has a performance Golf).

EDIT: From a quick Google the Passat would be slower than his Golf :s

Taken on Christmas Eve during extreme wind so couldn't keep camera steady.

Personal Q for you, are you just paying the agreed amount or overpaying or saving to pay off in one big go?

Paying agreed amount currently (or will next month when first payment is taken). 4 year PCP. I'm looking to keep it for ever and will pay it off nearer the time. I did put a nice deposit down to lower the payments + £2K Jag contribution.

Why the downgrade? RS6 scare your pants off? :p
Part of me just fancies a change.

I’ll probably end up putting some different wheels and tyres on it as the stock wheels are made of chocolate and are buckled again…

Will be driving back from North Wales in it today, it’s done as well as it usually does on the roads here.
