Show Us Your Motors!

From the 2nd car gathering on Sunday

A lot of appreciation for the E46 it seems still.

None on the bodywork, a rusted driver side wing was replaced with a new wing from the dealer back around 2019, other than that rust-free. The usual components do corrode and need replacing though such as drive shaft, exhaust hanger brackets/flanges, droplinks for the headlight adjuster that's attached to the front wishbone arm and so on.

I've had it nearly 10 years now btw, from 62k miles back then to 152k today.

Edit* I keep it on the driveway down on the south coast by the sea for reference, so we get plenty of salty air here and it's been fine really.

Even in hair dresser spec?

Edit: I really want a convert M3 E46 as a second car/summer car

Imo it is also the best cab. It looks great in convertible form and you can bring the kids along for the ride also. The main thing in my opinion with a cab is engine noise with the roof down and there is very little that will beat it that has 4 seats.

I actually nearly bought a 330Ci 6 speed a couple of months back as they are dirt cheap but then quickly remembered my daughter turns 17 next month and I need to buy her a car first and 330Ci's are well out of her insurance range!

Not just kids, the back seats on an E46 cab are spacious enough for adults too, slightly moreso than the coupe due to the removal of the middle seat on the cab and additional padding) and with the roof down even really tall people are ok with leg room being fine too if the occupants up front are up to around 5ft 9" so the seat position is about average
