Let me first say that I know relatively little about either of these cars and I know 0-60s are not everything, but from what I can see they both have the same or very similar 0-60 times, yet one you describe as 'damn they can shift' and the other as 'slow as hell '. Come on now sh4dy1981...do you exaggerate somewhat?

Er lol? Did the RS4 have NOS or something? It has roughly the same book power as the M3, but the RS4 book power is also known to be woefully optimistic.

Add to the fact that the M3 is lighter and doesn't suffer the 4wd transmission losses of the RS4.

Heres an interior pic... I love the car, just wish it had the rear elec seat pack and a rear blind, it does have the rear fridge though which is nice at this time of year... and yes, it does cost a fair bit to maintain and battle with the inherent rust, but on the flip side costs peanuts to insure and fuel for a 5.0l car.

I know, the mats are shameful, need to head down to MB parts dept and order some velour ones. Currently trying to source some facelift lights, I purchased some from ebay however they were for halogen and I have factory xenons, so still on the hunt for some....

I am getting around 22 mpg in all conditions (driving around Exeter, short trips to shops etc) and have had up to 29 on a 75 mph run, whereas the Lexus GS300 I had last year struggled to do 20 MPG in all conditions. Insurance is around £390 fully comp with myself and GF on the policy, both 22, through Norwich Union
