Show Us Your Motors!

oh but its OcUK.

Exactly. OcUK is brilliant because of the honesty. This isn't a dedicated manufacturer forum where everyone sucks each other's manhood when quite clearly what the have done to their car is a absolute travesty.

Phatboy, I feel for the person that has to drive behind you because they are absolutley foul. You are £50 out of pocket imo.

did you manage to sell the CDi at the show in the end mate?

No I didn't.

I'm not sure if I really want to so was testing the water at the show. If I had a double garage it wouldn't be going anywhere but I'd like something fun to drive and need the space. I'm going to do an ad's on some of the forums and see what happens.

Did you have a look round it?

Yeah you parked next to me on the Saturday so I had a peak. Still in such good condition! As with you I wish I never parted with my cavalier years ago but just didn't have the space to store it :(

Cheers - yours looks mint too!

Had it about a month and bloody love it. Comfortable, economical and quite pokey.

Tempted with a remap but have read quite a bit into it and the clutches seem to fail quite quickly after.

How you got on with yours?

Love it to bits mate. Had it for 4 months now.

Mine has had a stage 1 re-map, got it rollers the other day and got 182.7bhp / 295 lb ft :)
The clutch is starting to slip slightly due to the torque, its a common problem once remapped, however its only noticeable in the higher gears. It does not slip at all from 1st to 3rd, Once in 4th, if you boot it the revs jump up a little but still pulls very hard. Its quite common on the OEM clutch. I've already got a Sachs clutch lined up soon for it.

I've also replaced the OEM brakes for some Octy/Audi TT 312mm. They are a straight swap and make a big difference.

What year is yours? You on Briskoda.net mate? If not, get yourself on there.

Thats what's putting me off. Looking for reliability over performance with it (getting old) so I dont think I'll bother. Its a 2006 - cloth seats with the cruise options.

Am already on Briskoda but It seems very quiet over there. I prefer edition38 over it as I love reading the project threads.
