Why did you change from a V8 to a V12 then?

Slight delay of a week or so in the wilderness! The SL60 AMG is still a V8. The SL600 is a 6.0 V12.

With the SL60 AMG Mercedes basically made an SL500 in their factory without front/back bumpers and side skirts/mouldings. Then it was shipped over to AMG in Germany to have new AMG front/back bumpers, side skirts/mouldings, 18" split rim alloys with larger tyres, exhaust, suspension, brakes. Finally the engine had reworked new head, new camshafts, new crankshaft, bored and stroked from 5.0 to 6.0 litre amongst other little things. Ups the power from about 326bhp of the SL500 to over 400bhp in the SL60 AMG. 0-60 is about 5.0 secs and although limited to 155mph is touted to be able to do between 185-190mph. It is the quickest car I have ever owned and makes the SL500 seem slow and the BMW 540i seem almost pedestrian like!

Ends up being unofficially more powerful and quicker than the SL600 V12!

Giving it a quick hose down before it goes in for it's MOT this week. Been parked in my friends barn for a year whilst i've been at uni. Started first time, battery still had charge :D

And now for the car everyone wants to fap over.... a 1.1 Saxo (YAAAAY!)

Cleaned the Sax Machine up a treat today for the MOT

yeah shes the 255 version, so cheaper tax and insurance ;) only 230 a year tax instead of 450 lol

its getting remapped at the end of the month and having a decat so will be 300bhp and over 400lbft :D

You know, I always thought they only did one version of the VXR, the 280ps.

What are the differences between that and the 255 version?
