yeah rotrex superchargers are the way forward!
ive had my gti-6 for about 2 months and im totally considering it.
theres a guy on 306gti6 foum who has a 412 (i think) horsepower one!!! i'd leave it at <250 myself though, just to take it up to and above current hot hatch standards, so its at a near focus rs level.
Of course i cant realistically find 4k for all this mind. and theres soooo much i would do first.

Beautiful up there, if you're never been.

I have had no traction issues in the Xsara with decent tyres fitted (Goodyear Eagle F1s) you can give it full throttle in all the gears without issue. Its fast but doesn't feel it due to very linear power, get a slight kick/change in engine note at 4500rpm, then its banzai all the way to 7800rpm....

Its a very good conversion that just works!

Took it on track at Cadwell and the only problem I had was blowing a boost hose off which was a simple fix, no bead on that pipe to help it stay on. I had the aux belt jump off the pulleys once when I first got it, but I just put the belt back on and checked that it was being tensioned properly and I've not had a problem since. I bought a spare belt just incase but I've not needed it.

If you had a supercharger fitted then you would also want a seperate engine oil cooler. I am running a 16 row 235mm wide Setrab behind my IC and even with this on track the oil temperature went over 125C, on the road it stays below 110C on a hoon.

I would use a 19 row or larger, or reposition it into fresh air, I chose to put it behind the IC as I would rather have a stone through that than my oil cooler!

I believe the Fiesta ST has a oil cooler as standard, as there are two coolant pipes going into a fitting between the oil cooler and the block. But yes that's something I've thought about.

I'd like to get an oil temp and pressure gauge at some point to keep an extra eye on things though.

The 306/VTS has a heat exchanger setup which sounds similar, circulates some coolant to help warm the oil up quicker rather than actually providing any cooling, 100C oil with 90C coolant going past it isn't going to have much effect on it.

I'd definatly fit a temperature gauge, without the cooler the temperature with a few bursts up and down a bypass would be moving visibly quite quickly upwards on the gauge in the Xsara.

Bee Eee Ay You Ti Ful!

My only gripe is the the front lip would look nicer in black and the bonnet scoop looks out of place. But with 440bhp and otherwise clean looking standard car... excellent. My colleague would be so jealous, he really wants one!
