£6000 doesn't seem that bad at all really if it makes 400-450bhp. Lets say the car cost £6000 then what can you buy faster for £12000? Nothing.
It costs roughly the same to take my Monaro VXR from 414bhp to 600bhp. Again there aren't many cars that would be able to take it on head on in an all out gunning.

Ok, but when you sell a car that cost £12k to buy you get most of it back. When you sell a car that cost £6k to buy and £6k to upgrade you'll (in most cases) get very little of it back.

Steady on - only had it a couple of days! Will be leaving things stock for now though.
me? £11k, has 43k miles on the clock, '08 plate. A bit higher on the mileage side than others but its in great condition and has been well looked after by the previous owner (an enthusiast).

Stunningly beautiful cars these 350 zeds. Were it not for me needing a family size car I would be sorely tempted myself.
So if cost isn't a consideration why not just buy something like a Veron or an Enzo maybe?

Didn't want to start a new thread so I'll post my question in here if anyone knows the answer:
On new car releases, why do BMW release the x28 engines before the x30 and x35? (Obviously except from the marketing trick that 3 years later an LCI will have a brand new x30 engine - are there any technical reasons?)

Like when they made a 2.5 and a 2.8 but called them 323i and 328i to make it seem like a bigger jump?

Driving this till my car is sorted out. I would be tempted to charge up the Mini battery and get it back on the road but my dad's car is blocking the garage and he's on holiday anyway. It is by far the worst car I have ever been in/driven.
