Show Us Your Motors!

I ran a quote on a 350 a few weeks ago. £1200, 23, no ncb, parked on a public road in a not wonderful area of Glasgow. Very surprised how cheap they are to insure.

I think the hike in price comes from you postcode tbh - no claims helps but my premium would be half if i lived in a 'better' area :(

This, Postcode seems to be playing a bigger part in premiums than I've ever seen. Online SR2 and SR5 give the same risk rating (E) :(

But still all quotes loaded up the SR5 post code with something like a 10% increase. If I still lived where I used to (and am aiming to move to again) SR6 it comes down a right chunk. Didn't seem to have that big a effect 5 years ago when I first started to drive.

I live in a good TW postcode. I am the policy holder and have parents on for weekends etc. I have a good profession which might help, but am not convinced on that one.

I have a good profession too - dont think it makes any difference.

My friend owns an impreza and an oldish audi a4 and can get them both inusred for £600. Whereas my celica (2000) costs the same on its own. he lives in windsor!
