Focus ST takes a massive dump all over the Astra but it's not a bad car. It's fun for planting your foot on the loud pedal and keeping it in a straight line but that's about it :D

It makes a nice induction noise too.

I like the sport button :)

Dunno what anything else does. Will read the manual later. Tried figuring out how to use the cruise control, I failed I think.

Any-o, I'm happy with it and my mrs is, gave her the remaining budget to put down as a big deposit on a holiday. No complaining then...

We will see what happens.

Vauxhall Monaro? ;)

Nice one Rybo, they're a laugh to drive, I have a feeling you'll actually love the scaryness and torque steer if you aim for more power, I like 'em!

It's great :D

The mpg is brilliant to for what it is... Better than my old ST.

Princey, what are toyo tyres like on these? Got conti sports on at the minute but there wearing thin and the car has been stood since December, can see it on the tyres to.

From experience on the ST anyway Contisports are far better than the Toyos and definitely worth the premium!

Last much longer too!

Hope you enjoy the car though dude! Have fun with it. :D

You think!

I've driven both and have to disagree sir..

Golf ED30 I think.

Which, to be fair, is a better car.

Agreed.... That or the Seat Cupra K1. Both are rare and different.

Would take that over the Astra and ST!

The golf GTi is a nice looking car.. Just doesn't appeal to me at all to have one and way to common around here.

Seat cupra K1, would love to try one of these out... Couldn't afford to buy one with looking for a house this year though.

Hot hatches I would have are in the previous thread I made. Type R, ST, Cupra, MPS, VXR.

Never got to try out the cupra/MPS. All fun and fitted the bill. Couldn't find insurance for the Type R so had to take that out. VXR was £1033 to insure on a 10k policy (unlimited really) with greenlight. Though shot up to £1600 when adding Personal business. Will be quitting my job soon so it will go back down.

Moving house this year aswell to a better postcode, so anything could happen :)

I am happy with the VXR though. It's fun and a complete animal for a 2ltr turbo.
