I'll bring the level back down to normality. I got this maybe 4 or 5 months back on Salary sacrifice at work, less than £250 a month all in inc maintenance, insurance, tyres etc. Used by my wife for the usual family duties. To be honest, we love it.

I chose the cheapest car on the list and tried to choose the worst colour to annoy her but we have ended up really liking the thing. 3.3 miles per kwh, it handles actually not bad at all, doesnt feel heavy maybe as its the super base model. Little annoying things we have now got used to, it doesnt save settings, windows dont do one-touch open etc, but for the beans, we think its great. Its plenty quick enough and rear wheel drive.

Braking and regen takes some getting used to, but its fine now.

I know there will be some negativity, but I really quite like the thing

lol I live on the same road as a multi-millionaire who gave me a lift with a large bookcase in his Alhambra a while back. Lovely guy. He had a bright orange one of these pop up as he was impressed with my EV. A week later it had changed to a more subdued black one. Think his wife kicked his ass over it

Honestly, we love the Vito for day to day family use, the space is so useful.

My wife and I plus a 2 year old and a 5 month old. My brother and Mum live nearby and the family dog. I'm the main driver

The space is so nice to have. Bonus is I cycle a bit, or pretend to while doing distillery visits so throwing 4 or 5 bikes in the back is an extra bonus

Hi there

It has been a month since I have driven the 600 LT, dropped it off in February for its 4th year major service and warranty work, flew off to enjoy some Winter Sun in Fuerteventura and let them know I needed it back for April, in short it has had:
- Oil service
- New rear pads fitted (I supplied as got from Germany for £230)
- 2x Air filters
- Brake fluid change
- MOT
- Corrosion repaired (Warranty)
- Lose trim re-attached / panels (Warranty)
- New front damper (extended warranty)
- New front upper wishbone bushes (extended warranty)

For a major service plus all the additional work I had tagged on I really think the cost is very reasonable.

Driving it back this evening, oh my feels like its gained 200HP, purely placebo just what happens when I don't drive it for a while and start driving my other fast cars, it is just when I drive this it literally bends space time, first time I floored it in 2nd on way home at first I was bricking myself and hold on for life, to them literally giggling like a child, I then proceeded to turn of traction control and do it a few more times, the absolutely bonkers and relentless acceleration in this car will never get old, it is just such a total animal of a car.

As the sun was getting low when collecting, made an ideal photo opportunity:

18 months into ownership now, love it, absolute rocket ship of a car and can forsee me buying another two years warranty for it as I suspect the work done under extended warranty this month would have cost in the region of £5000 at a main dealer, circa £3500 at a specialist, so it pays for itself and it is peace of mind just in case a big ticket item decides to let go as the official extended warranty claim limit is basically the value of the car.

So glad to have it back, it churns my stomach in a scary but exciting way and it turns, steers and feedback is pretty unrivalled and with the whole modern supercar/hybrid thing going on I don't see anywhere else to go if honest and from what I gather McLaren just got purchased this week in full by middle east fund, so fingers crossed that means their future is more secure, they just need to really sort some things out, I have no complaints as I feel the service is fantastic and my car has been great, but I do know some owners do have a lot of issues and to them make matters worse McLaren don't always handle it best, but from me I only have good things to say, incredible car and superb ownership experience so far and I have not babied this car, it has done 6000 miles and several track days and been sent down country roads at close to 200mph, of course in isle of man, but still it never fails to impress and always has me smiling. :)

4.5k miles in after 6 months ownership. Just a few interior mods so far but a fantastic daily really. Although hoping to get on track once the summer comes.

Gave it a full detail and wax. Must get round to doing a full correction and ceramic when this country can string some dry days together!

Hi there

So I collected the Alpine A110S from Autobrite Direct Ltd today after leaving it with them for a few days for:
- Full de-con wash and paint cleanse
- Paint correction (machine polish) to remove any swirls and polish high spots from the dealerships polishing work
- Their latest yet to be released graphene infused 5yr ceramic coating
- Interior cleanse, glass clean etc. etc

The paint is so slippery, going to be some impressive beading / water sheeting for sure I suspect with this coating, as always cannot fault their work, the depth of the paint and the fact it is totally unmarked is money well spent.
Of course pictures are a must so here goes and I even did a quick video. :)

Over the moon with the results! :)

Their servicing seems reasonable on the whole but some stuff is just crazy as they charge hours labour as units for single jobs sadly. My 650S is going in to McLaren Birmingham on 2nd April & they wanted £240 from me to check the balancing of the wheels while it was in for a service, told them not to bother I'd get it done elsewhere.

On a lighter note though had the 650S out on a run in Wales last Friday, probably the most fun I've had with the car to date :D

Car is looking lovely!
I got given a similar quote to fit two tyres, I looked at the service manager and said come on, as such they fitted both tyres and balanced the wheels for £60, still more than most garages but for convenience I was happy to pay, but I've found Manchester very accommodating and do accept at times a bit of common sense and working with the customer gives the best results all round.

They fitted my rear pads for £159, so for you to be quoted £240 to balance a couple of wheels well they either don't like you or thought they had an easy win, I will avoid Birmingham. :D

Thanks :) I don't know if maybe I had argued more they would have budged but to be honest it was what I'd term insult pricing (I look after Pricing for retailers, its definitely a thing lol...) After test driving an Artura previously I also asked if I could borrow an Artura while my 650S was in for its service so I could drive it on quieter roads at quieter time etc but was told they're not insured for me to test drive the car without the salesman with me  genuinely baffled me that one vs Ferrari who offered me a drive of an F8 Tributo for an afternoon with my now ex (annoyingly I didn't take them up on it, regret that one!)

But on the plus side the service quote price is very good - pretty much the same as what Thorney wanted for the service but obviously keeps the full McLaren main dealer history :) Will see what else they try to add on mind :D

They either as a dealership has poor insurance or are blagging you as I was given an Artura for three days, must have put like 500-600 miles on it, cracking car to drive, just lacking drama in looks and sound departments, the new Spider is far better looking though.

McLaren have 4+ servicing now which is 20-30% of retail servicing cost for cars four years or older.
So a minor is now about £700 down from £950 and a major is £1300 down from £1700. So always make sure your getting the discount. :)
