The HD-DVD is plugged into the media centre and i am using the MY Movies plug in for MCE which works perfectly, and is silent compared to running through the XBOX.

For tv watching/gaming conflicts in the house, i have a second VGA cable for the xbox which runs round the corner to the office and means xbox can be played in here.

Is there not an ipod that looks the same, the itouch or something. Could be that?

Do you have to swap over the cable everytime? Or do you have a way around that?
And what speakers are you using, they look sweet!

Can anyone help me on this, im using a 19" dell widescreen with optimum resoltion of 1440x900. The xbox doesnt have this setting, what would be best to use?

Look like logitech 5.1 pc speakers.

No its the Iphone, had a guy come over from the states and he picked it up for me, unlocked and using a VF sim, having had it for a week, it is very impressive, even at around £900 all in for the UK version i think they will fly out the door, they art just so good and easy to use.

Well the cable was a dilema, i have composite to the LG and VGA to the smaller LCD, if i swapped the composite cable to another VGA then i could have used a VGA switch box, but i decided I would rather stay with composite and have the occasional hassle of swapping the cable

They are Logitech Z-5450's with wireless rear surrounds, which although not as good as a proper set up, I am very pleased with how they sound for the price and ease of set up.

No idea on the last question sorry

Intel Guy what TV is that you have there? Any feedback on how well the LG screens are? :D

It was something like a 37lcd2B, and its awesome! Very pleased with it.

Originally i was looking at Samsungs, but everytime i did i found the picture looked blocky, i went with my eyes over brand and chose the LG and i'm glad i did, its picture is always excellent be it normal tv, media centre, HD-DVD or 360. If i was buying again i would happily buy LG screens.

The only slight negative is the freeview guide on it is a bit clunky, but i use mce so thankfully not an issue for me

The only screen i have watched that was better is a mates Philips 37" but then it cost 4x the amount so i should hope it was!

yeah i have the 32" version of the LC2DB, its a good gaming screen, blacks arent great but after much fiddling I am satisfied with them. All other aspects are spon on though

EDIT: Are you connected using VGA or HDMI intelguy? It's well worth it for 1:1 mapping.

EDIT2: Ah think you mentioned it in between your images!

All of them, HTPC is using HDMI, Xbox is using Composite, Wii is using scart and then vga xbox to the smaller display

I went for an LG 37LC3R over the 37CL2DB btu they're both great TV's. The best thing about them is that you can turn off overscan on VGA/DVI/HDMI inputs and have 1:1 mapping with a PC.

Ah very cool then, picked an LG myself, LF66 range I believe. I'm not that fussy on TV's usually anyway but nice to know that they are generally good quality. :)

Kreeee

Just had a look at my menu, and cant find the options on this, where do they appear on you tv menu?

Cheers

On your input menu, you can switch between DTV/PC with VGA and HDMI, when you select the input press right on the remote to switch between modes. Works on 1280x720 but 1360x768 will automatically put the set in PC mode ala 1:1 mapping.

Edit, you'll need your xbox on VGA or HDMI, component has a 5% overscan on the LG range, still havent figured a way to reduce this. Maybe kree might know?

Bingo, but you will need to adjust your contrast and brightness etc when you change the mode.

Nope, I've set it to 0% via the manufacturers menu but it has no effect.
