My 360 setup, sorry but I had the ps3 on at the time

Change my lcd to this Jvc 1080p after the Samsung le40m87 gave me to much grief.

In what way did the m87 give you grief? I was considering upgrading the 40" model from my 32" LG.

The set I had gave me scart interference, freeview judder and I had some clouding issues.

If you get a set with the latest fw most bugs are sorted now but clouding can still be an issue.

Also there is an over the air update due to resolve the freeview problem.

The set is great for 1080p/24 and black levels (i had some clouding) but at the time the money I spent I wasn't happy with the faults so had it rma and purchased the Jvc which I think is a great lcd (no faults and 42").

I like the polished desk Raymond. Very clinical.
Clean setup, though vertical Xbox360's seem louder than horizontal ones.

But Vertical 360's run cooler than ones placed Horizontal due to larger surface area for cooling

I would say my 360 runs cooler standing up, just from a no thrills test of feeling the case for heat and how hot the air is coming out the back

If you feel your 360, on the left side (when it is standing up), you will find that this side is A LOT hotter than the opposite side of the case. The motherboard sits on the left side of the case, and takes a lot of the heat from the CPU and GPU. By standing the case vertically, heat from the back of the board has a chance to radiate through the side of the case.
Do a test, put your console horizontally, play a game for a while, stand it up and feel the left side of the case, it'll be a lot hotter than it ever gets when it's standing up all the time.

One day I'll manage an HDTV, would have had one by now if the bloody car hadn't decided to die a few days before

Ah well, at least a 19" TFT is better than my CRT TV.
