Show Us Your XBox 360 Setup!

Can't believe your gamerscore

I'm sure it was like 2k on TR about 6 months ago or something!!

Probably about right, it was definitely around 1k just after Christmas. Then I had a lot of free time by myself for a few months so I rented a lot of games then worked my way up. I think I gained about 8k in the space of 6 weeks over the summer too, but it's slowed down drastically in the past month as I'm back at work. Then again I did get 1k in a day last weekend so that kept me happy :D

CSI aint that hard then?? :p

Was looking at that game, fancied a crime genre, as I'm interested in it. Recommended?

Nah it's not, especially not with a walkthrough :D 5hrs or so I'd say if you were just playing it for points, probably about 8-9hrs if you were paying attention to the game.
I quite enjoyed it though, definite rental because it's too short and has no replay value really. But I like Broken Sword type games and it was quite fun doing all the DNA matching and stuff, always like puzzles :D It was a good way to spend an afternoon.

Worst... girl....ever... !! :p:p;)

CSI is pretty crummy, its a decent rental, but not worth the money.

Just read some of your blog - very interesting! I wish I had been introduced into gaming at an earlier age tbh, I've missed tonnes of classics... :(

You might have used your free time more constructively than I have in the past 18 years though :D *gets scared that it works out as 18 years of gaming*

Making up for lost time ;)
Then again, I spent most of my college days playing Everquest :o But hey, I turned out alright :D I think :D

I just had a quick look at your blog haly and was a good read and most people who remember the commodore 64 are over 30 , i am 34 and we had a commodore vic20 :p:o .

Hey rafster liking your tv and have you tried just hdmi with the elite or vga and component also ??? was just interested to know how much better the image is using hdmi .

Yeah I was a bit of an early starter :o
Although the c64 was on its way out when I first got it, but as a kid I didn't really mind, it was exciting :D I still miss games costing £1.99-£3.99 :p Still got all my games boxed up somewhere, got around 300-400 games for it

Some pictures of my odd set up:

It's all somewhat temporary which is why the cables are a mess. I'm hoping to get a new TV soon once I've paid for my new car so I'm not keen to sort out all the cables until after then. Got my eye on the Samsung range, probably a 26".
Once I've got the TV, the 360 will get moved over to the TV unit and I'll probably sell the 19" WS TFT. Not sure what to do with the cables under the desk but i'll figure something out.
It's a lot better than it was at least, I'd have been ashamed to have shown the previous set up before the redecorating :D

Oh yeah, I need a new camera too as may be noticeable from the rubbish camera phone shots :p

Just HDMI mate, I will check component in a bit after the Scotland game etc and take some pictures?

Is that the brand new X series? It looks bloody lovely, i shall have to invest in one of those, what did it set you back? I bought a 40D3000 to tide me over until they came out.

How does it perform for SD TV?

Yeah its the new KDL-46X3500. £2500 with 5 year warranty. Manufacture Date: 09/2007 :)

It's a great TV, I love it, been playing a lot of WMV HD on it, mostly 720p with the Xbox 360 Elite. PES2008 looks great on it also!

SD is not bad but it's not amazing either, I guess you can expect that, but our Sky box is kinda screwed, we got a HD one coming soon so I imagine it will be better with HDMI rather than scart.

PC over DVI-HDMI is gorgeous as well! Had my main PC downstairs and could not believe how stunning it is.

It might well be but I'll never sell it :) Unlike other gaming stuff I've sold, I'd never be able to get it all back again I bet. So even though it's collecting a bit of dust now, it does get dragged out every once in a while, usually Christmas :D

Its taken me a while but finished for now, no doubt I'll decide there is some life threading gadget i am missing tomorrow :-)

The HD-DVD is plugged into the media centre and i am using the MY Movies plug in for MCE which works perfectly, and is silent compared to running through the XBOX.

For tv watching/gaming conflicts in the house, i have a second VGA cable for the xbox which runs round the corner to the office and means xbox can be played in here.
