Just a quick question, where did you get the legs for your oppli stand??

Those of you who play at your desk on a PC monitor, how do you find that?

The thing that I love about consoles, and what has kind of taken me away from PC gaming, is the fact you can sit on a nice comfy sofa, in your sitting room, and play games. Not on an office chair at a desk (where I spend 8+ hours a day at work anyway)

Exactly right.....That's why I have mine in the sitting room rather than in my room. Its more social, and helps you chill out

I end up sitting on a bean bag infront of my tv in the living room, can't see people in the distance very well if you're sat too far away on cod.

I reckon playing on a monitor does have advantages though, more of what is going on is in your tunnel vision and also they dont have issues with input lag caused by picture processing etc

Here is a couple of pic of my current setup.

Samsung LER32R32B
Kenwood DVR 7000 Av reciever which is fairly old but still does the business
Samsung DVD HD870 Upscaling DVD player
T-Home VOD box
BFBS satellite receiver.

The 360 and HD DVD add on were vertical but the number of disc read errors I got was incredible. Now I just get crashes instead :p

Lol do you always keep your controls lined up like that?

I've been doing that since launch (can't afford an HDTV, lowly student) and I've enoyed it. I guess being a PC gamer Im used to it, plus its nice being able to switch back and forth between 360 and PC.

I just lay down on my bed and play. If i cba to move the 360 i'll play it on the hdtv downstairs, but that rarely happens.

Looking back, it was scary how close i used to sit to the screen when playing PC games.

I use my TV as my monitor, so when I play consoles I put the keyboard and mouse to one side and mov back to the bed which is directly in front of the TV, about 7 feet back.

Hi i got them from ikea as well the kitchen dept they are just legs meant for kitchen units but i hated the standard casters on the oppli so i thought why not, looks 10x better for it though and only cost £8 :) hope that helps

Its great. Means i dont have to move from my comfy chair no matter what platform i want to play on. :D

Also have a futon thing in the PC room so its suited to gaming with mates too. :)
