Oh well laa dee daa mr fancy pants

=/

Hmm see this is the thing, I have tried but it doesn't give the same effect - Ive tried using the "optimum settings thread" from there but they all seem to have unlocked the service settings where you can adjust backlight and colour levels, I don't want to do this however!

The R7x series looked appalling without those settings changed when I used the R74 series and not much has changed from what I read on AVForums so I shudder to think what your setup must look like through HDMI >_<

What the hell in gods name is that monitor??

its just a dell 2405 rotated then using ati's drivers telling it to change the dvi input 90'

Looks HUGE!

they do look taller than the do wide but i guess its just because of the view your eyes give you is wider than height or soemthing. i got neck ache when they were both side by side as and i only ever use mIRC, winamp and msn chat windows on that screen when using firefox on the main one.

when in a game or on the 360 i just move firefox over and browse during loads or when i'm dead :-p

Dell have the best stands.

i do love the 2407's stand.

i think its the cable management hole bitty and the silver trim on the monitor that goes with the stands black and silver that i like.

the 2405 does feel more solid though and is better at rotating the monitor.

Hey Kreeeee, I have the 32" R74, is there any special settings i can unlock to make it look better?

I have tweaked it majorly from its default as the default looks terrible.

That won't be overheating anytime soon then?! Hows the fan powered?

I always keep old transformers from broken equipment so I have a nice selection of DC transformers. I used a 9 Volt one so the 120mm fan is silent yet it cools enough to never let the Xbox's noisy fan kick in on higher rpms.

Works perfect and my Xbox360 is nearly silent which was my aim :D
