Show Us Your XBox 360 Setup!

Ive seen a vid where it scratches the disk up real easy if the console is moved when its on but it didnt show anything happening just because it was vertical. My bro reckons that wrecks ps2 games too, I have to have my console horizontal anyway due to little kids and pets, etc

Ive had my ps2 vertical for years without problems, its just not true!

Finally managed to get hold of one so i'll submit my setup, its messy but it works.

Mousemat - I have the same TV. Are you running it through the VGA or Componant cable? What are you using for the sound?

I'm using the Joytech VGA cable, Works a treat. Got the sound running through the optical 5.1.

My first PS2 butchered a disc when it was vertical, but it was a known issue with certain launch model PS2's (one of which was mine... shows how long I've had one). I've not had a problem since, but it's horizontal now to save space.

My Xbox360 is fine vertical on everything bar The O.C. Season 1 - Disc 2 which causes some horrific noise. If I put it horizontal it's fine.

Also, the consoles CAN take knocks when the drive is in it (not vertical to horizontal - or vice-versa) due to the centrafugal (IIRC) force on the disc, it wouldn't move.

took this the other day, added game's own make headset yesterday (only 360 headset I could find) played pgr3 live for the first time last night had an awsome night of racing and a real good laugh aswsell, my screens a little small compared to some of your monsters, thinking of saving up for a hdtv next year, but im still well impressed with the 360 on this 19'' tft, very crispy :)

How much was the Game headset then?

It was £9.99, quality is not amazing but it works great, just plug in the controller and your on live, Has an in line volume and mute switch aswell,,

I doubt he knows as he stated he doesn't have the official one.

The official one isn't of the greatest quality, but I doubt the GAME one is any better.

I have an official one coming in a day or two (fingers crossed) so I can compare em side by side, but to be honest these game ones just look the same as any other headset on the market one ear speaker with a bendy mic, The biggest difference is that where you plug the headset into the controller there is no block with volume and mute on as i see the official one has, these game ones have a little jack plug thats it, the volume and mute is in line on the cord. I would recommend these though, for £9.99 you cant go wrong and more importantly your more likely to find these hiding on the bottom shelf in a game store near you :)

Thats true, I couldnt' do with playing online without a headset, without the communications you may aswell just be playing the computer.
