This is not a politics thread to discuss policies and such but rather just to smile and poke a little fun at the event and all its odd happenings

Highlights

The prime minister battled a sore throat - at one point being handed a lozenge by the chancellor.

She was also interrupted by a comedian, who handed her a P45, saying "Boris asked me to give you this," before being ejected from the hall.

To add to her woes, some of the letters fell off the conference stage backdrop. By the end it read: "Building a country that works or everyon."

The whole speech and everything that went against her seemed to show her to be more human than any amount of campaigning that she has done so far.

I'm no fan of the tories but I did feel for her, coughing fits while doing a public speech is bad enough but that prank by Lee Nelson (can't remember his actual name) was harsh and not really funny. Took a long time to get him out as well, think some questions will be asked of security.

Yea at least she is there doing it. Unlike a certain other politician who took a long sickie after looking dumb on TV.

His prank on Sepp Blatter much better tbh. This one just looked a bit awkward for him.

Her DPG close protection team will be on traffic duties in the Orkneys by the end of the week.

She was coughing? She's going to drop dead at any second and is unfit to run the country.

Sense of humour failure...

I think it was hilarious, glad she's having a hard time - I think both her and her entire party are a circus of berks.

Not as good as the Sepp Blatter prankster, that was truly delicious.

Not surprised by it though, Tories seem to be a shambles at the moment.

But clever enough to get to run the country a job that most of us wouldn't even get close to no matter how clever we THINK we are

rofl, you think people in government are clever? what the hell are you talking about, they're the worst, you'd struggle to find more incompetence.

I know plenty of clever people who are incompetent.

In fact the CEO of a company I do some work for is very clever but I'm sure he'd be incompetent as a plasterer.

What I'm saying is a lot pf people call the government thick. But its a job they can't do/get/Apply for etc etc.

Another silly analogy is regarding Katie Price. You hear quite often how thick she is.. Well I wish I was a thick as that as she's made more money than I ever will

You realise, that you're defending people who couldn't even fiddle their own expenses claims without getting caught.
