Anyone on here actually enjoying it? I still play Civ V.
Its in the Steam sale at the moment for £41.99, still mixed reviews. Anyone on here actually enjoying it? I still play Civ V.
Tbh these days I judge games on the amount of hours of enjoyment I'll get from it. Rather pay £41.99 for something I might get 300 hours out of, than a single player campaign in a game that lasts 8 hours. Each to their own though.Sale at £41.99 lol

The first truly disappointing Civ game ever. I've played 50 times as much Civ 6 maybe 20 times as much Civ 5 and a little bit more Civ 4 than I have Civ 7 since it's release. I won't give them my trust again, I'll wait for it to be a mature popular release before I buy any subsequent Civ games. Its in the Steam sale at the moment for £41.99, still mixed reviews. Anyone who is still playing, or thinks they may go back to it later when its been updated, they're currently offering the Tides of Power Collection for free, providing you claim it in the next couple of months.
Are they still not going to cave and give the option to play without the age transitions yet then?
Whilst I don't like Civ7 I do agree in principle that compromising their vision for people who will never like it isn't the greatest idea. They're adding a single civ all the way through option. Dumb decision, imo. It'll compromise the entire design of the game to satisfy people who are never going to love this iteration.
I claimed it and went in and played a game as Edward Teach. Got to the end of the first era, saved and shutdown. I still much prefer Civ 6 to be honest.

Yeah I got the founders edition - I keep going back periodically to try again after spending so much on it, but every time I'm left aghast at how janky it all feels. Civ 5 is still my Civ of choiceStill another 6 months on this stinker to air it out with free DLC.
And I bought the founders edition, boy oh boy.
It always amazes me how since 5 they seem to completely forget how to make civ games and what people want....
Turning civ into 3 mini era sub games was by far the weirdest choice for a decade, it's getting back on track.
