How fast is the p2p download going for those who are already on it?

I am guessing you guys have a 298MB update, then a 33MB one (enabled resumeable downloads) then the 2.6GB resumable one (it will continue where you left off if you start again later).

my d/l is going at around 500k/s
almost got first 298mb only a few gig to go

Ah, it is misleading, the 298MB and the 33MB are on PSN (hosted Sony servers), so I expect them to max out your connection (mine is normally maxed out with any PSN downloads) BUT the 2.6GB is the P2P update, so the speeds on that will be variable. Hoping it may be quick as I imagine at least 10k people will be logging in today to download it.

PSN sucks on Virgin, downloads are so slow but funnily enough I'm downloading at around 1mb/s for the MAG 2.6Gb update. Should have it done by 8ish if it keeps up at this rate.

Wish they would sort the issue with Virgin out, whoevers fault that is.

Im on virgin 10mb package uploading more than im downloading at the moment im on 3% so expect that to change

PS3Proxy works wonders for me, maxes my connection on Virgin now - prior to using it it was just painfully slow.

Hmmm Im on VM too - might see how fast others are getting it and if Im drastically slower to change to PS3Proxy (not heard of it before). I presume having non VM DNS servers still doesnt help...

I will hazard a guess that Virgin slowdown will only be an issue for the 299 and 33 Mb updates as they are on Sony servers (which is what Virgin users have issues with). Seeing as the 2.6Gb is P2P I think your speeds on that will in no way be related to your normal PSN speeds.

Also, afaik it is not a DNS issue.

Just go my code and downloading first 298mb. Thought that was a bit small for a game even if it is a beta!

How can you guys tell how fast it is going? At a guess Im getting about 1MB every 5 secs it seems...

Gonna take forever on VM 10Mb (50MB taken 10mins - so say 9hrs) - dont think I can use PS3Proxy as I dont have a PC that allows me to install apps...

I have a belkin n+1 router with that display which shows upload and download i average over 10 mins 100kbps download and 60kbps upload

on 8%
Looks like i might not be able to get on tonight but im sure some sort of traffic management is in use for us 10mb customers .

Mines gone to 4%, quicker than I thought it would (112Mb dled now). My vanilla WRT54GS doesnt have any stats it appears. Whatever it is using for upload is killing my net connection now though...
