Ok, my fellow countrymen are handling this absolute classic (actually from my hometown) so I'll hold my excitation for now:P

Roll on CyberHill 20(TBA), hopefully doesn't turn into CBA (can't be ****d):D

Yes, Akira Yamaoka made amazing soundtracks for these games and the series is very special for me, lots of good memories. I really hope they don't mess this up.

Tried SH3 recently and it holds up so well graphically, was very surprised.

What I really liked about these games was the excellent soundwork, you were constantly bombarded by those oppressive, cacopohonous and mentally draining sounds so the horror was effectively enforced upon you without anything terrifying actually happening.

It worked really well with the locations and significantly elevated the overall atmosphere.

Could easily go both ways but I'll remain cautiously optimistic because I really want it to be good, though I did jokingly say I won't hold my breath when I learned who's handling it. Bloober have a monumental task in front of them, that's for sure, and their track record isn't super stellar.

Yamaoka is back for the OST so they better pull this off.

Loved it back in the day, the giant execution room in the prison absolutely ruined me on the first play through, terrific atmosphere and tension.

I'll hold off on excitement yet though, I seem to remember the effort levels on a HD remaster being awful a few years back.

Silent Hill is coming back in a big way actually!

Silent Hill movie based on this remake game is also coming & under development now!

Then 2 brand new Silent Hill games also :D (in addition to this remaster!)

Silent Hill f. (set in japan looks pretty good)
