Siliconslave's how to make espresso thread

Call them with the consignment number and ask? To be fair, I've always been impressed with UPS. Last time I had a package from them, I was at the gym when he delivered.
I got home to find him sat in the van outside my house waiting for me, he'd been there about 5 mins and was trying to call me on my mobile.

oooh, turns out that UPS redelivered to my neighbour and they have came over with it :D

Read from bottom up.

10/10/2008 16:09 DELIVERED
10/10/2008 14:21 A DELIVERY CHANGE REQUEST FOR THIS PACKAGE WILL BE PROCESSED / DELIVERY TO AN ALTERNATE ADDRESS WAS REQUESTED
10/10/2008 13:47 THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE
10/10/2008 5:46 OUT FOR DELIVERY

I called them at 14:15 to arrange for a second delivery to work in a different city all together, he must've thought "crap, i am not going that far" and went back to give it to my neighbour :D Which he should've as he had instructions to in the first place.

So, pics tomorrow with both the Tamper (which matches the Zass btw) and grinder when the sun comes up (better light). :)

Here we are :)

The weird thing is that the tamper and the bumper costs as much as the grinder lol . It's not that big actually in real life, kinda cute actually. The build quality is amazing, all the joints are as tight as it can be, no gaps, and the finish is really clean.

Just for everyone's info, I just saw the Gaggia classic for 149 in a 'popular large electrical retailer' in stockport. So it's out there at a decent price brand new if you shop around.

My espresso are normally 6spoons of instant added to half a cup of boiling water! What's the difference?

The difference is that yours isn't espresso.

To make it you need coffee grind, and grind to a certain size to the grind, then put through an espresso machine with enough pressure.

instant coffee isn't espresso, no where near. It's like saying orange squash is freshly squeezed orange juice.

wow I would be interested at that price but are you sure it is the classic they are selling and not another gaggia model?

or a beer to a shandy? I suppose i can see the difference now. But would i pay hundred of pounds for the difference? Probably not, although i assume it is classed as an investment. The machinery does look quite sexy as well :p

Wow!! that sounds horrid!

you should really try a real espesso - you will instantly see the difference, even if its somthing like starbuccks/costa its still going to taste a lot better then undiluted instant coffee.

Problem is that once you start making espresso at home you start picking out the errors in starbucks etc.. Like the bad coffee, the foam etc, etc.. Mind you the Costa coffee in Waterstones in Reading (as you exit the Oracle) is pretty good and the espresso was drinkable!
