Siliconslave's how to make espresso thread

Silicon... where have you found the swiss gold for the aeropress? I can't seem to find one anywhere

As far as I know you buy a swiss gold filter then cut a circle out of it.

I don't mind the paper filters though. Go through about 1 a week. So the 300 they supply will last a while. ;)

[edit]
I had a Christmas present arrive yesterday - My dad got me a monthly random coffee from HasBean for a year. :D

This month: Ethiopian Limu Wild Organic
It's gone in the freezer for the moment.

I've got some Costa Rican El Portillo in my cupboard just now. Just finishing off the last of my Rwanda Mugombwa just now. :)

I'm almost finished the Costa Rican El Portillo I bought from HasBean, and it's easily the nicest coffee I've had from them so far. Really, really nice. A little more expensive than others I've had from them, but I'm certainly buying some more in my next order. :)

Just opened some Australian Skyberry from Hasbean.

Got to say, this coffee taste like nothing like i've tried before. It's light, fruity and sweet. :)

Looks like we'll be losing Whittard fairly soon... Going into administration according to the BBC.

I couldnt get on with that at all, i got none of the fruity or sweetness taste,Ive settled with Monsoon Malabar and Indian Balmadi.

I opened that one yesterday :D

Only done a couple of shots with it - both ristretto, both very drinkable with a huge amount of crema. Going to try it in the Aeropress later see what it's like then.

I seem to get a different bean everytime i order at the moment (3 bags at a time), not settled on any particular bean yet.

Got my Mum a Gaggia Espresso Pure machine for xmas - only have gaggia pods and some lavazza/ marks and spencer italian and taylor's bagged filter coffee for it though. Hope it'll be nice anyway. :)

I didn't like the Premium Espresso Blend, it was a but meh for me, bitter and no character.

Really enjoying the Australian Skyberry though.

Are there any places on the high street that sell decent coffee grinders?

sid

Edit/ Is the starbucks burr grinder any good? I've heard its a rebadged dualit one?

edit/ how quickly do hasbean deliver their coffee?

Found I preferred the standard espresso blend to the premium. The Skyberry sounds interesting, will probably be the next thing I try.

Pretty quick to process and sent first class, usually comes next day for me.

I could cancel the whole grinder idea and just buy preground coffee from hasbean then and place it into air tight jars
