(maybe you should all stick to ticktock ;) )
Ridiculous criticism that I see all too often online.

I expect it to progress at a natural pace and not to artificially hold stuff back just to stretch the episode count. That’s not the same as world building.

It was said in jest.. (mostly! ;) )

When people say things are too slow.. maybe they should point out all the bits in the programme that were superflous?

Each person sees things differently.. but the amount of times I see people these days moaning about things not "moving along" or "progressing too slowly" i'm unsure what people want?

You either want a fully developed world.. and are happy for it to progress so that each scene says something about the characters.. or you just want the story to "move on".. and what ?? you can tell most stories in less than a couple of hours.. so what are people after?!?!

I do wonder if the people that want this are not book readers, (and that is in no way a criticism!, you don't have to read books to watch tv..) but are therefore not used to the pace at which things can progress given the source material?

I am genuinely interested in which bits of the series were not building the characters? and or world that you are obviously interested in watching.. otherwise you wouldn't be in this thread...

(There is so much missing in the TV series that it's really quite incredible that they have managed to build a coherent slightly different story (at the detail level) at all given the TV constraints..)

I agree the ticktock line could be taken the wrong way.. and I apologise if you took it the wrong way.. it was more about the number of times people complain about the pace of TV series these days, without giving things time to breath..

I enjoyed the pacing and as I said earlier I think the characters and world needed more away from the main story world building.. I guess that's just me..

You're making a lot of silly assumptions, if all you can so is insult people that disagree with you then you aren't going to find people that want to engage with you.

but people clearly don't have the same patience with a "tv" show..
Personally, I don't think it's that. I just don't think you can do in a TV show, what you can do in a book. You don't have that narrative and explanation in a TV show.

I apologise if i've insulted anyone.. that was not my intention.. so i'll just leave it there.. apols again!!
