Silverstone ft02

There will be reviews of this case over the next few weeks. It's the design, low noise level and soundproofing that i like on this case.

ditto, there maybe some truths to the negative/poor airflow, but this is always been the issue with cases that are silent, the trick is too keep all areas nice and ok. I would have thought 3x180mm fans blowing across all parts and outwards would have been the best setup going....

I belive the mightly Corsair obsidian suffers poor airflow/cooling dispite it looking one of the best overall cases out there.

But the real F2 reviews will see how it fairs....

First post yeeha this is the case am goin for just need some reviews and hopefully has no cooling problems and get it at a decent price.

I wonder will there be an ft02 available without that horrible window ? Hate perspex windows, show up even the faintest micro scratch once a bit of light shines on them from motherboard leds, fans etc..

ive been waiting for this case to start my first self build and wanted to get something that was going to be high performance and with grown up looks. i have to say this though! why oh why havent they made the finish on the front all uniform instead using brushed finish on the 5.25 bays and the matte blasted finish in the rest? maybe im just being fussy and will look good in the flesh? i'll wait for more pictures to see.

Saw a thread over on SPCR today and a silverstone rep said they are delaying it until mid December in order to redesign the inside to accomodate the GT300.

I wonder is the Raven RV02 a better case considering it has an 8th pci slot, and the airflow from the bottom fans is not blocked by hard drive bays.

Haven't heard much about this case since i posted back here in august, looks absolutely gorgeous. Glad they're making a few alternations to accomodate all gpu's rather then rushing it out to market. Be tempted to part with my ft01 for this as the cooling looks great.

This case is now available for pre-order in the US for $255 = £153.

EDIT: I realized whilst in the shower that I probably shouldn't post a link here, even if it's for an American site that doesn't post to the UK (and, even if it did, the shipping/customs/import tax would put the price way above what any sane person would pay).

Am sure on another thread someone and even myself said looks too tight for longer graphic cards, Silverstone engineers obviously dont know what there doing they should have considered longer graphic cards down the road 3 months ago when people were saying the samething !

Either way am glad for the revise, the fractual case has the same issue also they need to revise it and make it more future proof/gpu friendly, otherwise its just tight fits alround.

Proberly end up being £170-200 imo, still tad too much and its delay am starting too think fratual here I come.

Thinking about what silverstone rep said there redesigning the case to handle the gt300 at least we now get a hint that the GT300 is gonna be as long if not longer then the 5870 card. Maybe we need a fratual Rev 3.0 already.....

I recieved this email from the distributor.
