Surely you can draw one way road? Thats all the roundabout is. You draw it in a square and once complete it becomes a roundabout with nam installed.

Edit: you can also do a roundabout using normal road, just draw a smaller square-circle, its not as effective though and isnt technically a roundabout as its both ways

Im starting a new region here and it would be so handy if we could have the region automatically covered with trees.

Basically my first step with every new tile is to cover the landscape with trees before i start the city building, would be great if there was a mod or such to do this automatically at the start.

Also a mod so that I can add trees with the same speed as the god mode tool once I am mayor would be nice.

If you press ctrl alt shift and then click the normal god mode button while holding them down, it will reenable god mode without disabling mayor control. Technically a cheat but very useful!

Most people will have deluxe (Onormal + rush hour) almost all mods need rush hour because it changed sim pathfinding and pretty much everything needs to be 'pathfound'.

i loved sim city 2000 nad 3000 but i didnt really understand sim city 4..... is it worth a second shot?

i got both. i brought simcity when it first came out, then a few years later (probably due to a thread like this lol) i wanted to get rush hour.... but it was cheaper to buy the game again as deluxe lol

Yes, follow the guide on simtropolis and once you get one running it will click. Esp if you like SC2000 as that was damm hard until you got a massive city (well for me it was!)

But only if you have the deluxe or rush hour bits (same things) otherwise its not too good

Got a bit of a problem, after reading this thread and reinstalling, I cant get the game into windowed mode, i have googled and the methods that I found do not work... any ideas?

before I used to zone mass amounts of land and i could never get to grips with it

I put -w after the " bits in the short cut and I get the full game with just windows task bar (is that what you mean?)

Start off small with only power and streets and once you have some $ then expand

Ok, i have a huge city, 140k pop, a lot of demand for high wealth commercial! Problem is i see no sky scrapers developing.

I've got subway, buses, parks, schools, colleges and university but nothing yet, there are a few small towers though.

My pop keeps fluctuating between 120k-140k!

i dont think that pop is high enough yet to get the true skyscrapers, even in my region where i had 500k+ in my residential tile the commercial tile wasnt full of skyscrapers.

On a side note is there any knack to getting the rail working? Ive started a new region and laid out highway, avenue and rail networks right from the start, everything is working fine except rail absolutely no one is using it and i have stations in R/C/I. The stations are powered and i have a busstop nearby but i dont see any trains what gives?
