SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

Tempted after watching a beta video of this on YouTube last night.
I loved SimCity on the SNES but never got on with any other version. This one though is look pretty nice. I don't fancy paying £50 though. £30 seems fair. Has anyone ever used that GameAgency from that Google shopping result posted above?

I got the CE version from Game, £42, Its worth it for the extra features plus the book, I've been a fan of Simcity for over 15 years now and I am really excited for this one.

Tempted to buy it but with the small cities and knowing they are going to plow out DLC and city packs at a stupid rate is putting me off

Yep, like others I will wait to see what people say regarding city size. If there are absolutely no big maps then that will be a disaster (for me)..

I also don't really trust what the reviewers will say. A few previews claimed this was a 'better' more 'streamlined' city builder.

They seem to have completely forgotten Simcity's heritage. EA bankroll for the win.

You guys do know you're going to get absolutely bombarded with all kinds of DLC as they attempt to milk you like some microtransaction Facebook game?

I would love to get one of the keys, but I'm going to have to wait a few weeks and see what people make of it. I hope it's not an abomination and is good. At least the beta testers seem to like it.

And you've decided that must be bull, based on what?

I think it's incredibly unfair on the developers of this game being branded as money-leeching, morally corrupt demons because of who the publisher is. Any decision they've made which hasn't conformed to public demand has been deemed to have been implemented for reasons other than creating the best game they possibly can.

But I must say it's amusing more than anything else the number of people kicking up a fuss about city size - how do you know you need a certain gameplay element to enjoy a game you've never even played? SimCity ain't SC4 with updated graphics - it plays differently and therefore you can't say the lack of a certain feature can only be to the game's detriment.

Whilst I agree with your sentiment it is dishonest to still call it SimCity maybe SimHamlet would be more appropriate from what I played of the beta.

Did you just come down in the last shower? They're gonna milk this with DLC, that's EA's STATED plan, all games will have micro-transactions.

I think people with years SIM exp. know what they like, and that happens tom be large cities not the hamlets beta players have encountered.

EA are the last word in everything that is wrong with the PC gaming industry.

Horrible company.
