Simply sublime... Edifier R1600T Plus mini review

Well I just bite the bulliet on these, to replace my 5.1 surround sound which I don't use cos of next door, I dealt they would like these much but screw them, I don't have them up loud anyways.

I ll say how I get on with them :D

paring off with a xonar DX btw, I was going to go for a proper Hifi setup but lack of knowladge plus paring...

Does anyone else have any thoughts on these? I see on the shop site that they are due back in stock on the 1st june.

The sound on my telly has developed a fault, an annoying buzz that i can always hear in the background whatever Im watching. I cant afford a new one for at least 6 months so I have been looking for some speakers to plug into the tv or even into the sky+hd box and these look ideal.

Nice review :) They're back in stock as of today also. I iredered mine about 10 days ago so I should get mine soon enough.

Are these any good for gaming? I'd really like to order some tonight! But.. Don't want to end up wasting moneys!!

How are they?

I have been looking at these myself - and also at the Corsair SP2200s and the Aego M's (although the aego's are a little out of my price range).

Does anyone here know which of the three are better speakers - or if there are any better ones available for a similar price? Also what exactly is gained/lost by going 2.0 instead of 2.1?

Also, I have contacted Edifier to see if the frequency response information is available - so i'll let you know :)

Less wiring mess for one. I'm quite satisfied with them, and I've owned the aegos in the past.
Of course like others have said in this thread, better stuff can be found second hand. But to buy new, and for simplicity these are hard to beat.
Oh, you might want to remove the link. Besides they're a lot cheaper on ocuk. ;)

Link removed, cheers.

Get these given the range you listed :)

I have bought them! From Overclockers, too.
When they arrived today they had no English power cable as promised on the item page, so I have phoned and requested one will be sent out - which apparently it will, although it doesn't appear as an order or anything on my account...

anyway, obviously I can't test them yet, but they look very nice, and the frequency response is mentioned in the manual - 55Hz~20kHz.

Q Acoustics will need an amplifier, so if you got a 2nd hand Cambridge Audio A1, you would be paying about £150 for both. Q Acoustics are hi-fi speakers, whereas the Edifier's are more budget near field studio monitor speakers.

As good as the Edifier's are, I'd be surprised if they are as good as a decent pair of £100 passive hi-fi speakers.
