****SIMS 3****

Played it for a couple of hours earlier, not had a single crash or freeze (on newest Win7 RC, q6600 and 4870 512mb). The only performance problem was when I invited about 10-15 people for a party and as they all got loaded in to the world the game jumped around for a bit.

Yeah i read a book while they're sleeping or at work.

Sheesh how long is your working days and sleep patterns?

I've just made an evil genius and managed to get to the top of the Criminal Career on the Evil Overlord career track :) So managed to fullfill my sims personal life goal.

With that I bought the a few life improvements rewards, so my sim never needs to go to the loo any more. Rarely needs to shower, gets to know sims traits very easily.

I do think the game is much easier and quicker to get to a life goal than Sims 2.

I didn't even have to do particularly well at my job, I just sucked up to my boss an awful lot until we were almost best friends.

No cheats used at all and I'm getting around 2,000 simoleans a day, I've also bought a partnership in the bookstore which gives me 1,000 simoleans every tuesday which is good :)

I've gotta say I'm dissapointed with the lack of hairstyles in the game though, sure you can customise the haircolour to the hills come home but nearly every bloke has the same hair cut :(

not an entire book :p

I've finished the music career, married my boss and am taking her through the culinary career now. I can see myself playing this to try each career really, much more fun than Sims 1 (the last one I really played)

Yeah sort of the same really.

Longevity of each career or person seems to really depend on the traits you give them.

I'm going to make a Couch Potato, Hates The Out Doors, Clumsy, Angry, Idiot next time :p

Enjoying it a little more than previous Sims games but I'm a little worried at how quickly I managed to reach the my life goal with my first sim.

***** :D

I get 3k for 4 hours a day and 3.5k at midday on Sundays from book royalties. I'm editor in chief and a prolific writer.

p.s. not had any issues, bugs or glitches at all...runs like a dream, switches back to desktop very quickly and seems totally stable (played about 20 hours) - are the glitches ATI exclusive or am I just lucky? :)

my wife got it on friday, and left me holding the baby all day saturday! looks really nice, i've never played the game but always looked over the shoulder and the world is implemented much better, no having to load up to go to different lots.

had some initial glitches that crashed the nvidia gfx driver, so updated as it was quite out of date at least a year!

i've had no issues on either my laptop or desktop which is pretty good. i guess they must have learnt from previous editions re the promotion and cash thing. iirc, it used to be a pain to get cash and get anywhere in your job, but now it's much quicker, it means you can concentrate on doing the fun things in the game - like trying to wohoo with all the hotties in the neighbourhood and build a castle for your evil genius :D

i agree re the limited styles in the game though. there are loads of patterns and colours to choose from - but only a few hair styles to apply them to. for example i want a desk that goes at right angles in my super special secret evil office but there are only straight ones. i can have it in gold if i want but i want it at right angles! maybe i've missed the bit where you can modify the shape of stuff or maybe it's the next expansion? or more likely I'll have to buy them.

I quit my job as a police officer so I could boink all the gals out in town, but now I'm out of money so I'm a part time shop assistant. Life sucks and I'm trying to resist the 'Motherlode' in my banged up house!

It goes..

"..set the house on fire (oops) lady firefighter (tall, dark, mm) came and put it out for me (aww sweet) chatted her up and bang, in a relationship (but she doesnt put out, grr) ended up with the maid, then my partner in the police force (very rich and gorgeous, nice pjs) got a couple of snitches and found a house full of yummy mummys :D..

got up to my lifetime wish of International Super Spy (goes to work in a sports car dressed up in ludicrous clothing and sometimes a tux) any way, had some spare cash so done the pad up a bit, looking good with my leather zebra stripe skirting boards!! and hung my tinkerer achievement on the wall when... crash to desktop.. Aaaargh"

But im having fun so who cares right.. right...

Now I know the details and weaknesses of your super secret evil office, I know how to attack.

You won't know when it's coming.
