Singapore Grand Prix 2011, Marina Bay Street Circuit - Race 14/19

If the weather does end up as bad as those forecasts imply, we won't be seeing any racing, they'll all run back to the pits crying and it'll be called off on safety grounds, especially somewhere like Singapore with no gigantic runoffs :p

Yeah, it will totally be that. Nothing to do with the fact that with an inch of water on the track an F1 car floats, meaning the cars physically wont turn corners.

I'm getting quite board of the "boo, there all wimps" claims whenever it rains hard...

turn 10 rurins this track......why not make it an open hair pin.......oh wait thats gives a overtaking opotunity.

Now this one IS a safety concern. The cars arrive at this corner well into 150mph. There is a massive ancient building on the outside that means there is ZERO room for runoff. To meet FIA regulations they had to slow the cars down well in advance of getting anywhere near the barrier. Unfortunately the only solution is the Mickey Mouse chicane.

Unless the demolished the building, that is :)

Can't wait for this one. Rain and lights seems to equal a poor combination though - very hard to see anything through the visors.

Felipe agrees with you

"So Felipe, you are arriving at Singapore, a vibrant and fantastic city, to drive one of the fastest ciruit racing cars in the world, built by one of the biggest names in motorsport, around a super challenging street circuit, at night under floodlights, with 23 other racers fighting for every inch at up to 200mph!

How do you feel?"

So Narain,

You'll be getting into an F1 car again, something most of us can only dream of... how does that feel?

(pssst Narain - you can always swap with me and fix joe public's computers for a living) ;)

I'd be more than happy just to sit in that HRT :D.

I think due to the conditions in singapore non of them really look forward to it, I think Jenson was wanting the length of the race shortened.

Is there any point watching this or is it a forgone conclusion?

See, I don't get this..

Even though Vettel has stomped to victory multiple times this year, it hasn't stopped the races being great with action all through the field.

There are more people involved in the race than just the guy in first you know...

It's all good unless you actually support Red bull, then you will most likely be dissapointed and pleased at the same time :D.

The good thing is with vettel doing his boring stay-at-the-front driving the camera is often on some great action further down the field.
