OMG the track is falling apart..curbs stones are coming apart as well as oil on the track from the support race.

Apparently a previous Porsche race damaged some of the kerbs and they need to repair them.

I like the viewer comment they read out. Paraphrasing but essentially:

"Why do they need a curb when there is a perfectly good wall to stop the cars going too wide"

Looks like the cars will be running at least this session without a curb.

Kerbs removed from exit of Turn 3 and 14, now allowed to cross white line and get close to the wall. Good decision.

Also: FIA sporting regs Art 31.5: "The interval between the first and second free practice sessions... may never be less than two hours."

Suggests FP1 will be shortened by 30 mins.

Except it has been less than 2 hours before, including at Singapore previously
