Bottas is 0.771s down, Raikkonen is 1.388s down...
But Ferrari have it in the bag apparently...
He did say that if they get him a good out lap he can go faster.
So, not him driving a better out lap, it's the teams fault.

Well Merc had major issues in qualifying here and a few other places last year... they've found a fix though.
No one who didn't have a terrible first run in Q3 improved in the second run. Bottas 7/10ths down is same as last year, he's awful here. Ricciardo who is a supposed street track specialist as everyone was banging on about earlier this weekend... 6/10ths down on Verstappen. Kimi's second run actually put him only a tenth down on Vettel.
Amazing laps from Ham and Verstappen though, Ferrari seemed to blow this one completely.

What an absolutely insane lap. Not even a Mercedes circuit. Not ideal being next to Max though, as usual not in the championship battle, but will barge through and take credit. Jerk.
Terrible camera work. Why on earth were we watching Kimi the whole time, even after his lap. Thank goodness for Brundle giving us updates. Vettel or Hamilton, we shouldn't be watching ANYONE else at that point and then Vettel after it becomes clear Hamilton's lap is screwed.

I've now seen both Hamilton's and Verstappen's laps that's what you what you call performing under pressure, I was half expecting to find that they'd abused track limits somewhere given how great their times were. I only hope they don't wipe each other out first corner tomorrow.

This season Ferrari have the fastest car. That pole lap from Lewis shows just how much better a driver he is than Vettel.
Don't get me wrong, Vettel is a very good driver. He just isn't on a par with Hamilton. He isn't on a par with Alonso for that matter.
