Six Nations 2016

Some of the grand slam reactions from some of the England fans are hilarious, you'd think they were the best team in the world going by some individuals on twitter. Well deserved grand slam by England though.

Italy got a good hammering by Wales though, 67 - 14 to Wales. That's gotta hurt. :p

I don't think most sensible ones would think that (though twitter brings out all the morons!). This is what it is we're the best of a mediocre bunch of Northern Hemisphere teams.

If they held the world cup tomorrow none of the six nations would make the semis the same as they didn't 6 months ago. We'll see where Eddie Jones's England are in 3 years time that's the acid test of his tenure as coach but it's the best possible start for it.

Wasnt it the useless french ref who was the official in that match?

Which one? Roman Poitre was the referee for the Italy - Wales match but it was Pascal Gauzere for the Ireland - Scotland match and I think he was a little bit too keen to call penalties, Scotland's discipline wasn't as good as it could have been but he rather interrupted the game so I wasn't all that impressed with him. That said referees do have a difficult job and it's always easier to think they penalise your team unduly. Overall Ireland were deserved winners yesterday and the score seemed to be a fair margin, if it had been any wider I'd have felt more aggrieved.

Congratulations to England for the Grand Slam, they have been the best team in the Tournament and although I didn't manage to watch the whole match France did seem to up their game a bit so it was good to see it as a reasonably competitive final game.
