Six Nations 2016

Where the referees not told recently (last WC?) to start asking more explicitly, ie, "Try or no try", rather than the more ambiguous "Any reason I can't award the try?" as a bid to make things more consistent? Note: consistent, not necessarily correct or fair!

They are supposed to use one or the other phrase depending on their viewpoint. It's just being explicit about the referees confidence in the score.

"Is there any reason I can't award the try" : I think it was scored, but please check for an infringement.

"Try or not try" : I didn't see the grounding, please tell me if it was a score or not.

Just had to google as when I played rugby at youth level, charging down a kick was always considered a knock on unless you caught it without it touching the ground.

Yet apparantly it's not.

I feel robbed. :p

How tom Francis was still on the pitch, I made accidental contact with the eyes of a player last season as we were squabbling for the ball and got a red card, he only got a penalty...

Thomas Francis is going to get cited for that. No damage but looked clearly deliberate to me.

Great game, England were fantastic and the last 10 minute meltdown doesn't really change that.

Ford had a shocker, he shouldn't be in the squad on current form. Mike Brown needs shooting greedy git won't pass he undoes all his great work.

Wales were pretty poor, can't understand why given the quality of the team.

Ben Youngs had his best game in years and although it pains me to say it Farrel was excellent.

It's pretty crazy to think that we were down 19 points to nil and only a dodgy line call has stopped us from coming back and possibly winning the game.

However!

Big congrats to England, well deserved win - definitely the better team on the night.

It wouldn't be fun if we didn't let you win now and again...One more meeting between the teams next year then and it's Lions time, exciting stuff!

no,

hartley was warned about his team deliberately fouling in defensive play in the 22 about 30 seconds earlier the ref said next time sin bin.

proper squeaky bum time those last few minutes though.

I didn't manage to watch it all but it seems like a well deserved win for the Scots. First in a decade against the French. The first French try was pretty nicely taken however so it they could string together a bit more of that they'd do ok.
