Skittles Vodka - How & What flavour combinations should I use?

If you're drinking anything less than good vodka then this may be a good idea. If you're drinking decent stuff then I'd treat them as two separate things to be consumed :)

Question.

I've just made some Fox's Glacier Mint Vodka, and am a little concerned about the quantities.

I found somewhere that 25 mints to 600ml of vodka was right. Is this accurate, or how far off the mark is it? Too sweet/minty will be fine, just not syrupy

i just by a 75cl of cheap vodka, the £1 bag of skittles - remove greens, remove a bit of vodka - pour skittles in, leave a day or 2 to mix then filter the fatty remains.

mix with lemonade :D

Would be really great if I could get an answer.

Thanks in advance.

*SKITTLES VODKA UPDATE*

I let it ferment and 'mature' for approximately 4 days, then seived the fat off with a pair of tights and then the fun began. It really did take the paint stripper taste away from the Morinov, and thus the 35cl of vodka was gone in half an hour, all by yours truly, drinking it half with lemonade on ice, and I tell you what; it was nice...from what I remember.

This stuff is lethally easy to drink.

Last night I did many evils, for one I rang an ex that I haven't spoken to in around 4 months, and was asking her if she was happy and where she was. ****. Cue many texts of 'why are you speaking to me, dont' haha. And secondly, I left the club we were in at around 11:30 after going to the toilet, I apparently thought to myself 'I might as well leave now' and by that point it hit me properly, I was completely and utterly gone, and I wasn't drinking to get drunk, it was simply nice tasting and I was in a social environment.

Oh, here's the other thing, I was dressed as Peter Pan, green tights 'n all, so Peter Pan with his frosties cardboard hat and dagger, was stumbling around, walking home at 11:30 on the phone to ex'es with many texts asking where the hell I'd gone.

I woke up 30 mins ago, feeling not to bad (I don't get hangovers) but I was still totally drunk, I went to get up and make myself a hearty breakfast, as you do, and even now, while my verse may be literate, I'm still struggling.

Conclusion: Skittles vodka is lethal. I'm making more...to share next time. :p

Flavoured vodka is ace. As well as the ones mentioned I've also made summer fruit vodka by adding summer fruit (strangely enough) placing on a window for a week, giving a daily shake and then straining, aniseed ball vodka (kind of pernod-ish as you'd expect) and vanilla vodka by adding 2 vanilla pods which I split with a knife.

I will be making black cherry vodka next.

Don't do it...

I made a Litre of the stuff for my 24th... i have NEVER been as ill as I was the next day after we polished it off.

The combination of E-Numbers and 40% proof alcohol really does not mix.

It tasted ok though ;)

[EDIT] Just noticed you did it, told ya so :p [/EDIT]

Ok. NEVER make Glacier Mint Vodka.

I put plenty of mints in but it just ended up tasting of mouthwash mixed with vodka. Not cool :(

I find its best if you keep the flavours seperate, then you can mix them into perfect combinations :D

That looks so cool. Wish I'd seen this thread before my 21st birthday party on Wednesday. :p

Ah well, something to prepare for the day of my dissertation hand-in perhaps!
