Skittles Vodka - How & What flavour combinations should I use?

just started my own batch. with one of the smaller bottles of smirnoff (all its good for :p ) got two bags of skittles and only put the yellow, orange and red in. i hope it turns out okay!! gonna filter it through a pair of tights, got no coffee filter paper.

Guys what your method of removing the gunk? i cant find a siv(sp?) good enough and the number of Britta filters ive destroyed using them...

:D looks god so far!

Do you really have to coat it in marmite or mustard? Going to make 5 litres of this stuff and need to know :p

Me and the GF made two litre bottles of this up for my 25th about two months ago - left it for 3 weeks, shaking every day :p

Then used coffee filter papers and big jugs (oo-er!) to get the carp of out it. Lovely stuff - two bottles, with appropriate skittles vodka labels hooked up into bar optics :D One bottle of Red/Orange/Yellow and one of Purple/Green!

I ended up drinking about 15 shots at my party playing 'I have never..' -that sucked the day after, really need to remember its neat Vodka!

My 25th was awesome, planned it like a transformers themed 80s kids party with party-bags, pass-the-parcel etc - I have to say, best party evar! :D

Well, your aim is to infuse Vodka with the sweetness and flavourings of a bag of skittles. Hence the name Skittles vodka.

Now imagine if you put Marmite in.. it would be Skittles and yeast extract Vodka or mustard.. it is unlikely that you will get the desired flavour now is it ;)

On the other hand, maybe thats why i was sick after my 1ltr of non mustard / Marmite concoction.

You coat all your skittles in Mustard or Marmite, infuse your 5 ltr's of Vodka and report back ;)

Ok, well, it's not me who will be drinking it so if it paralyses other people it's ok. :p

Well i'm going to buy:

9 x 35cl bottles of Vodka
3 x 70cl bottles of Vodka
Around 3000g worth of skittles, big bags if possible.

From selling all these i've made a tidy £30 profit :p

lol. make sure you use a decent filter. i think spandex might work well. i used a jumper with double layer yet there was still crap in the jug i was filtereing it into, it was like a very fine film on the top of the surface.

Well, since my last post the orders went up.

I went to Sainsburies and bought...

A more orderly view:

I seperated the skittles, I felt like a young chinese boy in a sweatshop working for 2p a day :(:

Finally placing them on a fair ratio into each of the bottles and given a nice shake to give:

Will give them a nice shake one or twice a day for 5 days, kept next to a radiator and I will report back.

:)
