Sky Planner Upgrade

Mine's been upgraded. Going to take some getting used to pressing the green button for the sky+ planner.

Channel renumber hasn't happened yet though.

at least they haven't changed the numbers yet, I've only just got used to the sky ones having switched from NTL last year. The radio numbers will be the hardest as usually when I'm listening to the radio I don't have the telly on :(

my box upstairs has updated not downstairs though strange

It depends on what type of box you have and where. We're in the same situation. Downstairs the pace V2 has been updated, upstairs the standard sky box hasn't.

It's due to roll out to all boxes over the next 6 weeks or so, in time for the channel renumber in feburary.

You cannot switch it off. It's because Sky are soon to release PPV 15+ movies during the day time. Protected by PIN of course. So this PIN protection in the Sky+ software is part of that too incase you record any naughty films or just scary ones.

Cheers tesla. That's really annoying and pointless, as PIN settings could be applied anyway from the service menu.

I miss my sky+ when im up at uni. ntl is slow, and all the channels are numbered up stupidly. eg mtv @612ish and mtv2 @112ish

My Sky+ Pace V1 hasnt been updated so I am forcing a manual update at the moment, see what happens...

EDIT - Forced update = no new software.

I think the new channel numbers are due on 25th Feb.

If you dont have the new v4.0 software by then I expect your box will go a bit screwy

I have a pace V1 and received the update about 2 days ago now, thats strange that you havent got it tesla.

Does anyone know when the sky+ charge is going to be scapped? I havce heard it mentioned a few times but no-one has come out with any dates.

Ive heard that once Sky HD comes out they will screap the Sky+ subs, amkes sence realy as they will just move the £10 subs onto the new premium Sky HD system.

Mine has been on a couple of days also

Had the update on our Sky+ box for a few days now. Nothing yet on my older Pace box.

Still hasn't fixed the issue with being asked for a PIN on movie channels though :grr:. Not overly keen on the changes either.

My Pace v1 is still on old software.

Maybe they do certain ranges of cards at a time or something then?

I thought they rolled it out to all Pace V1 at once, then some other brand and model all at once etc...
